Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I bought this as one of the introductions to new series, I also was interested in the fact it was 30 hours. I discovered 30 hours of fighting was 29 hours too much. Also the religious overtones with an attempt to cover them up was just a little too much.

What could David Weber have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Make the beginning a little more connected it's very disjointed. Come on don't think you are fooling anyone with a modicum of knowledge of the Bible and Religious history by changing the names. It becomes a farce and distracting after awhile.

Much Loved Story

Where does The Clan of the Cave Bear rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Right up there with Anne Mccaffey. I have loved the Earth's Children series since I first started reading them back in 1980, with Clan of the Cave Bear through The Land Of Painted Caves. Now to listen to the stories again it's like coming home to an old friend.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how real it all sounds.

Have you listened to any of Sandra Burr’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to her before, but her voice and inflection are perfect for this series.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

See your prehistoric life, not as anthropologists have tried to make you believe, but come to life in full rich detail.

If you miss any of this series, well as one foodie chef is fond of saying, your Mama's should slap you into next week.

Where does A Murder of Clones rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's not at the top but close.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of them in varying ways, makes for a good listen.

What three words best describe Jay Snyder’s performance?

Mostly good, voices and expression for females can be off putting at sometimes, but over all good.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No just and enjoyable listen, that made me reevaluate the first 2 and try them again. Finding them just as good and making me interested in more of this series.

It looks like I might have been a little hasty in my previous reviews of the first 2 books in this series and can't go back and fix it. I do tend to jump around and had just found Anne McCaffrey (who is my all time fav and might have influences me) so... but these deserve another go round.

I already have some thinking she would be a new series author I'd like, based on the description. So that would be a no.

This was another of her books that makes a great sleeping pill. I'm usually asleep after about 3 minutes.
