Historia
From the start, St. Cyr's mission is sensitive: finding out who killed the bishop of London, a leading candidate for archbishop of Canterbury, in the crypt of the same country church where the mummified body of another murder victim was discovered only hours earlier. It becomes downright dangerous once the charismatic viscount unearths the surprising connection between the men as well as the many powerful enemies with motives for their murder - including his own father.

Too slow for me
Revisado: 07-28-22
I love Davina Porter so tried some C.S.Harris books. There was just not enough going on to keep my interest in the dry dialogue.

Historia
It looks like just another gray March morning in the tough urban district nicknamed Nowhere when seven lives converge. Any one of them could have a dark motive. Any one of them could be walking into a trap. When the fog lifts, it will all be much clearer - that a single, shattering act of violence has marked each of them forever.

If you’re not in the mood for an extended listen, this is an enjoyable and engrossing short story. Several lives intersect in an explosive conclusion. Kept my attention.

Historia
Dr. Francis Collins, head of the Human Genome Project, is one of the world's leading scientists, yet he is also a man of unshakable faith in God and scripture. Dr. Collins has resolved the dilemma that haunts everyone who believes in God and respects science. Faith in God and faith in science can be harmonious, not separately but together, combined into one worldview. For Collins, science does not conflict with the Bible, science enhances it.

Expected more
Revisado: 07-04-22
I was looking for an intelligent exploration of Christianity but this was more an argument against creationism. The appendix was the best part of the book in which he produced some results of his gene research.

I had trouble stopping once I started listening because I wanted to spend time with these people. Lesley Manville gave a great narration, clear reading and good character variations.

Historia
Since his first performance at the legendary New York nightclub “Catch a Rising Star” as a 21-year-old college student in fall of 1975, Jerry Seinfeld has written his own material and saved everything. “Whenever I came up with a funny bit, whether it happened on a stage, in a conversation, or working it out on my preferred canvas, the big yellow legal pad, I kept it in one of those old school accordion folders,” Seinfeld writes. “So I have everything I thought was worth saving from 45 years of hacking away at this for all I was worth.”

Historia
On an island off the coast of Ireland, guests gather to celebrate two people joining their lives together as one. The groom: handsome and charming, a rising television star. The bride: smart and ambitious, a magazine publisher. It’s a wedding for a magazine or for a celebrity: the designer dress, the remote location, the luxe party favors, the boutique whiskey. The cell phone service may be spotty and the waves may be rough, but every detail has been expertly planned and will be expertly executed.

Interesting cast, well brought to life by the narrators, is not likable but all the better. By the end of the book one will be dead and one will be a murderer. This gives lots of possibilities.
