Didn't get past the first episode. Sound quality is terrible. As if recorded on an old phone. Hard to keep characters apart. Weird sound effects that presumably belong to the story line aren't explained and therefore a lot is lost. Not interesting enough to hang in there as there is not enough information from the start.

I initially started listening with apprehension as I really wanted it to be good and as a HUGE fan of Andrew Hunter Murray from Fish it seemed too good to be true that he is witty and amusing and fun And a good author. Well, its amazing. I do have a penchant for post apocalyptic fiction and this one is refreshing. I spent two lovely days either driving around or walking around with earphones with a seriously interesting and intelligent story with incredible narration. Generally this type of book is very Americacentric and solves the problems of the new world with either zombies or some certifiably insane gun nut. This is new and very interesting. The science makes sense and the heroine is relatable. I really hope that this is the start of a intelligent series as I have spent way too many credits on idiotic post apocalyptic renditions by American authors.

This is my first review as I firstly have a fondness for post-apocalyptic and dystopian fiction and I do like a free book every now and then and this was the one that broke the camels back. I only finished it, as I had a lot of gardening to get through, and audio books do fill the monotony quite nicely. This one was free (so happy I did not waste a credit on it) as it was part of my premium subscription and it was, quite frankly, eye rolling. Where are editors to help fill the most blatant plot holes and to stop the gasping bosom clutching heroine blithely stumbling through the aftermath of whatever zombie filled world the author is grasping desperately to bring to an average 90 000 words book or +- 8 hour book. Maybe I got this wrong and it's YA, but that would be even more reason to help young people to appreciate good writing. So yes. At least the narrator was good.
