Predictable but Fun

I heard a lot of people didn’t really care for it. Yes, it was predictable, but it was still fun. Unfortunately so many people bad-mouthed it that there won’t be any others. Which is a shame, more would only improve the stories and expand the BuffyVerse. I would have bought more!

Another Disney Book, Doesn’t Add Much

While I may not have liked the storyline of the movie, the book does fill in the blanks a little. Nothing astonishing, but little items like thoughts or overlooked detailed. Read by awesome narrator Marc Thompson, did another great job.

Good information, bit much on religious overtones

Would you listen to When Sorry Isn't Enough again? Why?

Good information on apologizing and using the proper methods on how to apologize. It was a bit heavy on bible and God's forgiveness though. Not everyone is Christian or even religious however and I would have preferred it that was left out. If you can gloss over those parts though, it is good information.

Good reading by Shatner. Story decent.

It was nice seeing Kirk back to himself after previous book, but felt a bit rushed to me. Unabridged would have been nice, but I liked the added sound effects and music. Overall if you like Shatner and Kirk, you'll enjoy it.

Good story, nice reading, wish it was longer.

I know they can't do an unabridged version when they dramatize it, but I do wish it was a longer read. I'm sure the book had more detail and information that seemed glossed over. But I do enjoy the added music and sound effects. I enjoyed the story and definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to read the Shatnerverse of Star Trek.

Awesome with Kirk Narration, too short though.

Good story, great with Shatner reading it, and nice ending for a beloved friend. Wish it was longer though. In the end, I enjoyed it and that's all that matters.

Awesome book! Awesome Audible!

This is by far the best audible book I have ever listened to. Excellent narration, all-star cast, and a great storyline. It's not about zombies, it about humanity, life, living through the worst of history. Great story and insight into the best (and worst) in all of us.

Would you listen to A Feast for Crows again? Why?

This was another epic long book, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first three. It was very slow in building and didn't seem to have the same pace as the first ones. I was told that it was like Martin took Books IV and V and just split them apart based on what characters were involved. It took me longer to get through this book than the other ones.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I'm a Stark fan through and through, although I didn't have many to enjoy in this book.

What does Roy Dotrice bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I've loved Roy's reading of the previous three books, but this one he change the pronounciation of all the major characters for some reason. Also, he changed the voices/inflections he used as well, so it was confusing when he was doing dialog to figure out who was talking.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was actually a little frustrated with this one. Some because of the narrator's changes, but mostly because the author's changes to the story.

Any additional comments?

Have to push your way through it to get to the next book. It will get better!!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Storm of Swords to be better than the print version?

Never read the print version, but Roy Dotrice has a great voice and inflection that you can get reading it.

What did you like best about this story?

Spoliers. Read it and decide. Red Wedding anyone?

What does Roy Dotrice bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

As I mentioned above, skilled read, egrossing voice, very entertaining experience.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Impossible to do, but I would have!

So worth the price of my membership! Took forever to get through it all, so much to listen to.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Clash of Kings to be better than the print version?

I had been wanting to get into the television series for some time, but decided I would read the book first (because honestly, the book is always better). I was not mistaken in that believe and enjoy the book immensely.

What other book might you compare A Clash of Kings to and why?

Game of Thrones. Same author, continuation of series. I think I enjoyed Book II better since the back history was developed more.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If it wasn't 33 hours long? Yes, definitely. Worth every penny!!
