The one narrator is so awful, sounds like she has COPD with acute bronchitis. All it is is scratchy voice. She needs to cough or something. So distracting I can't get through this book at all. Can't even pay attention to the story. No idea if the book is good. I returned it.

At first I thought the wife in this story was being selfish and materialistic. I almost stopped there but gave it a chance and I am very happy I did. You learn their story and realize it isn't all what it seems. What a fantastic story this is, definitely give it a chance, you won't regret it!

I didn't plan on him...or for him. I didn't plan on anything that had to do with Cal Donovan from Boston. Meeting him was a complete and utter surprise, taking me completely off guard. I met new people every single day in my line of work, and none of them affected me. Isn't that just the way of things? You could meet a thousand people, and they'd all mean nothing to you, but then you'd meet that one and they suddenly meant everything.

This book was absolutely terrible! I kept waiting for it to get better based on the reviews but it was so bland and boring. The narrator's voices were very one dimensional and monotone which made the story even worse. The intake of breath after each sentence that Erin Mallon did became increasingly annoying, and I mean EVERY sentence. The woman in the story claimed to be a strong, independent, work driven woman then she turned into a desperate psychotic woman in a relationship with issues. Do not waste your time or money.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I enjoyed the other books in this series but this one was just terrible. The two main characters were very unlikable and bratty and a bit psychotic. I don't recommend this at all.
