Historia
Historically, major women artists have been excluded from the mainstream art canon. Aligned with the resurgence of feminism in pop culture, Broad Strokes offers an entertaining corrective to that omission. Art historian Bridget Quinn delves into the lives and careers of 15 brilliant female artists in this smart, feisty, educational, and enjoyable book.

Conversational style and informative work on women artists
Revisado: 01-23-21
Bridget’s conversational style made for a pleasant listen. The accompanying PDF was essential to me and could have included more (like the photographs of the artists described in the book). I learned much more about some artists with whom I was somewhat familiar. Additionally, there were some I had not yet encountered even as a fine art major. The stories are inspiring especially how so many of the women made art through difficult and dire circumstances. Their passion for their art is the most inspiring aspect of the book.

Historia
In Sitting by the Well, this acclaimed Jungian analyst and author uses dreams, symbols, and body imagery to reach into the shadows of the unconscious mind and cast light on our everyday lives. Here is a poetic culmination of Woodman's many years of work with the psychological impact of patriarchy on men's and women's lives - from distorted body image and addiction to sexual trauma and relationships to our ultimate connection with the Great Mother (matter) and Great Father (spirit).

Wisdom from Marion Woodman
Revisado: 10-16-18
This is a precocious resource of conscious femininity. It is what is needed for our time. I have to pause often to try to assimilate the information. A rich resource; I will revisit often.
