Historia
Garth Marenghi - Frighternerman, Darkscribe, Doomsage - is back with volume two of his TerrorTome . . . Horror novelist Nick Steen is abducted and imprisoned at Nulltec, a shadowy technological research facility with excellent conference parking, concealed deep on the Stalkford Downs. There he is observed, tested and 'interfered with' (physically) by a team of scientific experts led by Dr Barbara Nullman, determined to probe and 'nullify' his escaping imagination . . .

Incarcerwhat?
Revisado: 03-20-25
Only Garth Marenghi is a brave enough visionary/author to make copious use of footnotes like those found within this terrortome. The story with the doll was terrifying and a great reminder for everyone to periodically check the attic to make sure your daughter is ok. If you enjoyed the first Terrortome, give this one a listen.

Historia
In the first book of this brilliant series, Stephen King introduces listeners to one of his most powerful creations: Roland of Gilead, The Last Gunslinger. He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil. In his desolate world, which frighteningly mirrors our own, Roland tracks The Man in Black, encounters an enticing woman named Alice, and begins a friendship with the boy from New York named Jake.

My favorite King novel and one of my favorite books. Discovered this in an actual bookstore before the world moved on. Really love how this world was set up. Roland is an interesting protagonist even though he wouldn’t care.

Remo Seavers?
Revisado: 06-17-24
One of the great early Destroyers! Although the narrator’s Chiun reminded me of the old Charlie Chan movies, and I wasn’t a fan of Smith’s voice, Remo really sounded like Lee Majors doing Colt Seavers from the Fall Guy tv series and I truly enjoyed that! Although I’ve always preferred the preceding novel, Death Check, Chinese Puzzle is the book where the series started to find its groove. Great story. Listen and enjoy!

Historia
Columbo was arguably the most popular and most unique television mystery series ever - even though, within two minutes of the titles, the audience already knew the murderer’s identity. The show captivated tens of millions of viewers for 69 adventures produced over 35 years. Yet if star Peter Falk had gotten his way, it would have run far longer. The “shooting” of Columbo was filled with backstage intrigue and larger-than-life personalities who, through it all, created unforgettable classic television.

Glad I was only watching Columbo
Revisado: 06-07-24
Columbo was a terrific series. Amazing to see how many episodes we got based on how hard it must have been to work with Falk. Interesting book that makes me glad I was only a viewer and not involved with production of the show.

Couldn’t hear actors
Revisado: 12-11-23
The sound effects and music were too loud and made it difficult to hear the actors. Graphic Audio usually does a better job mastering their titles. Would give this one a pass.

When do I laugh?
Revisado: 03-31-23
I’ve listened to this tome of terror half a dozen times searching vainly for the lol bits that surely must exist based on the hundreds of reviews mentioning listeners laughing out loud. Perhaps those reviews were written by Nick Steen’s dark fractions?
As a fan of Darkplace this was an instabuy as soon as I became aware of it. Glad Garth narrated this. It wouldn’t have been the same otherwise.
I wish I had heeded the warnings to skip over the truly disturbing sections, but I listened thinking perhaps those were the funny bits.
Listening to this book was like spending time with an old, narcissistic friend.
It was an enjoyable listen. Mostly.

A four door Ford Mustang?
Revisado: 11-03-22
Didn’t fully pay attention to this but was entertaining enough. Some things pulled me out like a beater Mustang with four doors (???) and identifying an auto as a DB9 at one point and DB7 later. Despite that I enjoyed the beginning and end enough that I will consider continuing with this series about Mr Flynn. James Flynn.

Revisado: 09-16-22
One of the few Stephen King novels where I not only enjoyed the journey but also the destination. Up there with The Gunslinger and better than Salem’s Lot. Really enjoyed this. Would love a sequel or side-story to this. In the meantime I’m sure I’ll listen to this again.
