Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Need to read again
Revisado: 05-29-23
It’s hyped up in the military! As a should read which to me enforces the laid back nonchalant behavior/issues we consistently are dealt in the military.
BUT for a well established person who is debt free, qualified to work, single adult of maybe even a college student. This would be a great read.
BUT for a person trying to get established I wouldn’t suggest it.

Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Eye opening
Revisado: 05-29-23
It was good to read about a black woman growing up in a black family during tough times. But explaining her experience without it being so traumatizing and without excluding the context clues for the trauma. It was motivating! I created a you tube channel called MOM&Chief inspired by this book. Thank you Mrs Obama!

Snippets of black women
Revisado: 05-29-23
Snippets of black women experiences in each chapter. My attention span is short. So if your is anything like me listen to this when your home relaxing or not doing a lot. The voices are beautiful but ofcourse they’re not exciting bc this isn’t an exciting topic to talk about so a few voices are monotone. Which caused me to zone out and think about other things or my own experiences.

Whatever is stopping you from having seven figures in the bank - whether it’s shaky confidence, knowledge gaps when it comes to wealth-building tactics, imposter syndrome, a janky mindset about money (it’s okay, we’ve all been there!), or simply not knowing where to begin - this book shows you how to clear every obstacle in your way, show up, and glow up.

Needed this
Revisado: 05-29-23
I changed my voice mail to the following after reading this book:
“hello you’ve reached Kiara, sorry I’m unable to take your call right now bc I’m either having family time or focusing on being a millionaire, leave a message after the beep and I’ll get back with you”.
I did this after listening to chapter 6. I follow her on Instagram now. Ofcourse I’m still in debt but I have learned to invest my money into things that’ll make my life easier. I bought a Roomba, I’m searching for a plumber to install a laundry room instead of using the community washer/dryer. I’ve priced a dish washer. I broke up with my bf/bd because he wasn’t trying as hard as me to make this family work…IT WAS TIME! I doubled down on assertiveness at work. Etc etc
Thank you! I needed this and I’m more content on knowing wholeheartedly what I deserve.

Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.
