An extremely enjoyable listen with wonderful and immersive voice acting and a fairly unique perspective on modern fantasy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to listening to the next in the series!

Absolutely awful!

I'm only 30 minutes in to this books and already can't stand it. The only good note I can give is for the voice actors, they both do a decent job, though the male VA seems to rush their lines a bit.
As for the story though it's immediately obvious what sort of story this is. It's your typical Alpha Strong, Female need big Alpha Man to save her (or in this case basically enslave her again) from all the big bad things like "gasp!" enjoying freedom after being a tortured slave her entire life!And of course Big Alpha Male must immediately have her complete trust and obedience, despite repeatedly telling her she's "free now". Goodness forbid she dare have any trauma/PTSD or issues with being controlled and made to feel trapped!
Genuinely awful, I only paid one dollar for this and I still plan to refund it anyway, merely for the fact that I won't have to look at it in my library anymore.

Love this author and love this narrator. A great entry in the series and very well read and voiced.
my only slight gripe would be that there is quite a lot of hissing on the end of a lot of words, but once you get absorbed it's easy to overlook.
