Great Continuing Story
Revisado: 11-04-23
I’ve loved every book in this series and this new one is no exception. I love the weaving of Navajo culture and legends throughout. I especially love the audio version recording with readers for each character. This adds another element of depth. Grant Romer’s narrator is especially good. I highly recommend the whole series.

Really liked this sequel
Revisado: 06-30-23
As said by other raters, the narrator wasn’t great. I almost returned the book because of the narrator, but eventually got into the story and decided to finish it. It was a really good story. I love the strong, brilliant Black women portrayed. And it was very on point regarding the dangers to women in the military, and cyber criminals. All in all I really liked it.

Excellent sequel to Burning Ground
Revisado: 12-03-22
This sequel is as powerful as Burning Ground. Definitely read Burning Ground first as it sets up #2.
Love the relationships between Graham and Stands Alone and of course Graham and Makawee. A must read for sure

I really loved this book. In this day of people wanting to do right by the indigenous people of the world, the white man and red man facing their hardships in 1871 are powerful in this book. Well worth reading. Fatal Ground is excellent as well.

Revisado: 12-05-21
I loved the Jamaican lilt of the reader’s voice as she pulled me into the story. Loved the quick pace of her thoughts trying to guess at where Monty came from.
This is so well written and read that I was right there with them. Excellent work! Really a delicious story.

I absolutely loved the narrators’ voices, taking us smoothly back and forth in time.
The subject matter is particularly poignant at this time in the history of this country. It is time we are woken to the truth and this book broadens our learning of that truth.

I read this book and it was very meaningful for me. After a year or so I thought I’d like to listen to it and I must say there is something deeply powerful about the spoken word and that is the case with this book. Well worth reading and listening to.

In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.

I would have loved to read this book and it would have been good but listening to it was amazing! Ms Church’s narration was incredible. Really lent a creepy, crawly sensation I’m not sure I would have felt just reading it. I highly recommend to anyone who loves psychological thrillers.
