I love this series. It is often hard to find a good book and being able to find not one but 7 is a gold mine. I loved this sixth installment and it is so worth reading. The suspense and intensity have largely increased since the first book. I loved it❤

A Great Read
Revisado: 05-21-18
I enjoyed reading this book it has love and loss and it's about a girl trying to find herself now that she has been displaced from everything she once knew. However, I do think the narrating voices could have been a little more distinguished and not so flat with little emotion...and as for the story while it was a really good story, I felt like there was a lot that occurred in just 18 chapters....very busy...

The Next Fried Green Tomatoes
Revisado: 05-06-18
I absolutly loved this book although it did take me a minute to get into it and fully wrap my brain around what was going on (who was talking) before I really became enthralled into the story. There is so much pain, anger and sadness. It is hard to imagine that these were real things that children were forced to endure in those times. In a way listening to May tell her story it was almost like I was back listening to the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. This is a wonderful story I enjoyed listening to the history and both point of views from different generations. I wish that in the end they all could have been reunited.

The Dreaded Cliffhanger
Revisado: 05-04-18
I loved this book just as I loved the first book of this series. I cannot believe the cliffhanger of this story. It was so sad and gut wrenching and I cannot wait for the third book. I truly hope that after all of the crap Rosel has had to endure, that she can finally have peace and end up with ONE of the men she loves.

Nantucket is only 11 miles away from Martha's Vineyard. But they may as well be worlds apart for estranged twin sisters Harper and Tabitha Frost. After not speaking for more than a decade, Harper and Tabitha switch islands - and lives - to save what's left of their splintered family. But the twins quickly discover that the secrets, lies, and gossip they thought they'd outrun can travel between islands just as easily as they can. Will Harper and Tabitha be able to bury the hatchet and end their sibling rivalry once and for all?

Loved it!
Revisado: 04-19-18
I really enjoyed this book. Stories of Nantucket never seem to get old. This was a great representation of trials and tribulations between sisters who regardless of their troubles, still need eachother.
The narrorator's voice was elegant and well liked however, I would have liked a little more differences when characters were switched.

it was a good book. I would have liked to find out what ended up happening with Peter and Laura Gene but over all I liked the closeness that was portrayed by the family.

Historia
One minute, sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird is a normal teenager dealing with everyday high school stress: her cute boyfriend Heath, the school's star quarterback who suddenly seems more interested in partying than playing ball; her nosy frenemy Kayla, who's way too concerned with how things are going with Heath; her uber-tough geometry test tomorrow. The next, she's Marked as a fledgling vampyre, forcing her to leave her ordinary life behind and join the House of Night, a boarding school where she will train to become an adult vampyre.

Texas Girl
Revisado: 02-27-18
I really enjoyed the book however, I cannot help but feel insulted by the stereotipical accents and clothing both the narrarator and authors uses for characters supposedly from Oklahoma and Texas. I live on the border of Texas and Oklahoma and have traveled a lot between both states; yes depending on the person many of us use different bits of southern slang however, no one I have ever met has used the stereotypical southern twang that this narrorator uses and not everyone dresses up in cowboy boots and Rangler Jeans. Sure even I say things like "hey y'all" but I feel like if you're going to try to represent us you should actually take the time to do a little more research before condemning us to sounding like hicks.

When Kat accidentally rips apart an old childhood picturebook, she's magically transported into the world of Cinderella - as Katriona, one of the ugly stepsisters! To get back, she'll have to complete the story, right to the end of happily ever after. But the odds are huge: The other stepsister is movie-star gorgeous, the fairy godmother is nowhere to be found, and the prince isn't interested in balls at all. Can she ever return to the real world?
