Historia
Every Day Is Extra is Kerry’s passionate, insightful, sometimes funny, always moving account of his life. Kerry tells wonderful stories about colleagues Ted Kennedy and John McCain, as well as President Obama and other major figures. He writes movingly of recovering his faith while in the Senate, and deplores the hyper-partisanship that has infected Washington. Few books convey as convincingly as this one the life of public service like that which John Kerry has lived for 50 years.

IMPRESSIVE … Truly an Obra Magnanimous!
Revisado: 09-09-18
John, you have meticulously reconstructed your life’s battle to find raison d'être in the ever-conflicting parameters of privilege, demons of war, and deceptions of politique. I applaud your tenacity for believing that the US will regain its leadership role, but from my vantage point up here in the Bolivian Andes, the curtain of hypocrisy has been pulled back too far and the Wizard revealed.
I am afraid we have become a nation of lemmings obsessed with “comfort” and “convenience.” We have forgotten how we got here, when words like liberty, freedom, and equality used to mean something; now only justification for military contracts and soon-forgotten vote tallies on the Senate floor. We’ve forgotten how to “show-up”; afraid to lose it all on “one turn of pitch & toss” when we can hedge our bets with derivatives and satisfy our fight-or-flight impulse by watching Morning Joe.
I ETS’d in 1972, a year behind you as a Captain in 8th Special Forces Group out of Panamá and have lived a life of development financing throughout Latin America ever since. I tend to align myself more behind the nobility of the indigenous Quechuan underdog than the Peal-shoed Oligarch.
We’ve both come a long way since the Clipper Ships, Houqua and the Opium Trade. As my 103 year-old mother, Marileeds Heard, tells me every day from Ipswich; “That was a long time ago!
Un Abrazo fuerte, Jock

Historia
The notorious baby boomers - the largest age cohort in history - are approaching the end and starting to plan their final moves in the game of life. Now they are asking: What was that all about? Was it about acquiring things or changing the world? Was it about keeping all your marbles? Or is the only thing that counts after you're gone the reputation you leave behind?

Arrogant, smug & self-glorifying
Revisado: 04-30-16
Would you try another book from Michael Kinsley and/or Danny Campbell?
No, I would prefer to read his articles. Seven chapters of Mr. Kinsley is worse than a root canal work.
Has Old Age turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, it has stimulated me to write one
What three words best describe Danny Campbell’s performance?
Good
What character would you cut from Old Age?
N/A
Any additional comments?
I'm 72 y/o with PD (Non-motor, cognitive impairment type). Kinsley's book was redundant, statistical, and non-informative. It is obvious that Mr. Kinsley has a chip on his shoulder, an obsession with death and an overweening need for self-glorification. The book has little to do with "old age" and more to do with the United States' illusion of grandeur and vindication of baby boomers. Mike, you are journalist not a novelist. Relax and enjoy the sun of Vail and quietly fade into the sunset without dragging us with you.

Historia
From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Sophomoric Approach to War
Revisado: 01-31-15
What disappointed you about American Sniper?
In business a bad product experience will affect nine people negatively. In war a death will affect a minimum of 100 people negatively. To laud your exploits in a book and bath them in overweening pride will affect millions negatively. Mr. Sniper’s book is sophomoric, obvious and naïve. Once again Big Hat No Cattle Texans disgrace our flag. ... Green Beret Retired
Has American Sniper turned you off from other books in this genre?
After listening to the prologue about killing the "evil" suicide bomber woman, I realized I had made a mistake.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator matched grammatically the ignorance of the protagonist.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
This is a Greek Tragedy

Dr. Okun misses the point
Revisado: 09-23-14
Would you try another book from Michael S Okun, MD and/or Rich Germaine?
No, same'ol-same'ol
What could Michael S Okun, MD have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
This book summarizes in three hours what one already knew from browsing the Internet. When will Michael Fox and Dr. Okun realize that what we don’t need is an empathetic cheerleader offering us hope and a chance for a “meaningful life.” We, Parkinsen People, need to know how to button our shirt cuffs, tie our shoelaces and type this bloody comment. We are not “sufferer’s” that need a hope & a cure; just the practical advice to get through the day’s many challenges. When is the medical establishment going to realize that PD is a “coward” that comes, like a wolf in the night, trying to steal your self-esteem. If you just take pills, and take a Doctor’s advice; you will surely die like a bumbling fool. You have to fight back ie. ride a bike for equilibrium, play the piano for finger dexterity, change your diet and sing songs for voice therapy. If you let the wolf win, you will be one of Dr. Okun’s pathetic “sufferers” and die watching television in your quiet solitude. You need to spend an hour a day retraining your brain. My hour today was spent typing this comment. Mike’s, I love you both, but you’re missing the point. We want real, practical treatment.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Wonderful
What character would you cut from Parkinson's Treatment: 10 Secrets to a Happier Life: English Edition?
The last three chapters
Any additional comments?
