Historia
Historic Inishmore Castle is opening its doors for the first time, hosting a charming weekend of whiskey tasting and soda bread baking. Sisters Mercy and Lizzie McCarthy are badly in need of a break, but their relaxing trip takes a decidedly unrestful turn when Mercy finds fellow guest Father Brennen slumped over the desk in the library… Did he have one glass too many or did someone want him dead?

I really like these, but repetition is killing me!
Revisado: 05-05-25
I like these mysteries, I like cozy European murder mysteries. I like the narration, sometimes a little too condescending, but my real reason for this review, and I hope the author reads these reviews, is the repetition of bad behavior of the main character, Mercy. I have listened to the previous two books and find that there is way too much repetition of coined phrases in all three books and creating a narrative where the author excuses the main character, Mercy, from her bad habits of working out of her reach, as far as detecting goes. She has insight, but I think the author needs to find another way of her involvement beside working against the local detectives, and allowing her to get away with it.

Wonderfully dry sense of humor.
Revisado: 12-09-23
I love the relationship between Chrissy and his grandfather, Lord Edgington. The writing is witty and fun with a little murder to boot. I want to say, specifically, the narrator George Blagden has great comic timing and I love the way he portrays the characters. His timing and articulation are excellent.

And yet another fashion statement!
Revisado: 12-04-20
In this ongoing adventure, there are more twists and turns and the plot thickens. Another great story, with undeniably great fashion and the best narrator.

Spy thriller with an interesting fashion twist
Revisado: 08-21-20
Thoroughly enjoyed this spy thriller with an interesting fashion twist. All the aspects of the international fashion scene tied to an interesting technological twist. Story was face-paced and kept me interested. Characters were interesting, especially the female leads, Evan and Eleanor and the snotty Russian models. A little added potential romance on the side. Narrator did an excellent job of voice variations for all the different characters and accents required from the international list of fashionable characters. Am interested to see how this group tackle their next assignment.
