I loved the “Stand-in”! It’s witty, fast paced, and fun. Not too far from Crazy Rich Asians in regards to the blockbuster appeal Lily Chu’s novel has. Phillipa Soo’s performance contributes hugely in making the story come alive. It “listens”like a movie.

The story is captivating, and the narrator's performance is great. The only thing might be that the story is to short. It does leave wanting to know what happens next. I am looking forward to the sequel.

Finally!!

I loved this book. As a same-sex attracted Christian, and simply, as a God-fearing image-bearer wants others dealing with the same issues to turn to him, I have l listened to this book within to days. Jackie Hill Perry's powerful testimony as well as her Spirit-filled teaching finally answered all the questions I had about how God approached, loved, restored and sanctified his children dealing with same-sex attraction. Thus modeling how to do the same. Brillant!

Great Book!

This book is really well made. It breaks down all seven principles of teaching in easy- to-absorb chunks, practical advice, and illustrative examples. Though I'm gearing to teach the early grades, I found plenty to take away from this book because the principles of learning are central to every discipline. I'm well pleased.

I loved the book. The story is thought provoking, polarizing and disturbing all at once. Yet, it's so good, so well written that it's undeniable. I couldn't stop listening. In no small part, that's due to Jennifer Lim's stellar performance as the narrator of this incredible story.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I found myself increasingly captivated by most of the main characters story, whereas some had me puzzled by their arc. Still, it doesn't take away anything from the plot itself, so I recommend this book strongly.

Thought-provoking

Common's memoir is easy listen, as smooth as a nice Sunday afternoon drive on a coastline winding road. With his signature buttery tone, the rapper/actor/activist commands your full and immediate attention to this hypothesis: What if it was possible, as well as practicable by the majority of us, to let love really have the last word? I was inspired, and confronted by Common's journey to increase in love, and acts of love towards anyone who encountered his path. This book is calling me to action as very little things did in my life. I’m extremely satisfied of having purchased this audio book.

Still very actual

I loved listening to the book. The narrator did an excellent job of rendering all the different characters, on top of the narration itself. His voice was captivating, and transported me in that dystopian world where hope seems to be a rare commodity. I didn't think I would have loved the book that much, but I did. I recommend it.

I purchased the book by curiosity. I never had the chance to any of Plath's work before, and I always thought of Maggie Gyllenhaal as a great actress, so I went ahead and downloaded The Bell Jar. There a lightness about the heroine's descent into madness. The narrative is almost a casual chatter describing on despair and disillusionment. It allowed me to take it all in, let it sit, then fully appreciate the richness of Plath's work.
