Historia
Can love be measured in percentages? After her girlfriend leaves her for a man, brokenhearted novelist Charlie Cross moves from New York to Los Angeles to work on a TV show based on her books. Charlie vows to never date any woman who isn't a hundred percent certain of being a lesbian. But when she is seduced by gorgeous bisexual cooking show host Ava Castaneda, whom she's had a celebrity crush on for ages, Charlie is forced to review her belief in percentages because true love could very well be on the line.

Disappointed
Revisado: 03-03-24
Charlie may be one of the most unlikable main character's I've ever read in a romance novel. I actually thought she was as emotionally unstable and delusional as some main characters in true crime books. I just could not root for her. I thought all the other characters should run and not look back.. I have read and appreciated almost all of Harper Bliss' books. I was very disappointed in this one.

Historia
Things are going great for Sutton Kay, or at least they were. Her yoga studio is doing well, she's living with her best friend, and she just got two kittens named Mocha and Cappuccino. Sure, she doesn't have a girlfriend, but her life is full and busy. Then her building is sold, and the new landlord turns out to be the woman putting in a gym downstairs who doesn't seem to understand the concepts "courtesy" and "don't be rude to your tenants".

Whiney
Revisado: 01-16-24
Almost all the characters have whiney voices and it is very distracting. Haven't been able to finish the book but, still trying.

Great story
Revisado: 06-15-23
Loved this book and although the 16+ length sounded long it really seemed much shorter. I want to read more from this Author.

Good story , but the narrator
Revisado: 02-19-23
I loved the storyline, except no matter how hot and sexy the more butch characters were described to be, the minute I heard their voices they became whiney, insecure, 12 year old boys. If I could concentrate enough to overlook the butch voices, it was a good story, prevented from being a great audible book by the narrator.

Historia
Jacqueline Keys was ostracized from her small hometown of Pine Springs, Texas, when she was 17, sent away because she was gay. Fifteen years later - long after she'd hitch-hiked to Los Angeles, put herself through college, and had written her first best seller - Jacqueline is persuaded to go back to the tiny town of Pine Springs after her father's death. The quick trip she'd envisioned for the funeral turns into weeks as she learns her father's business is suddenly hers to manage. And she is also again face-to-face with the woman who, as a teen, had been Jackie's first crush.

Abrupt ending
Revisado: 02-12-23
Loved the story as far as it went. This story needed a few more chapters, a long epilogue. or a sequel. Read as if Ms. Hill was very late on her deadline. One of the most disappointing endings to any book.

Trying to finish it
Revisado: 10-16-22
The storyline is good so far. I wanted to listen to this because of the characters being in other books. That is the only reason I am still trying to finish it, which is difficult due to the narrator. I can't stress enough how bad the narration is. She reads how the characters are supposed to sound then voices them with a different timber and no accent. She also has a weird cadence when reading. This is someone reading a book poorly and not performing the characters in the way good narrators do, which is very grating. I will not be able to listen to the rest of the series since time prohibits me from reading myself, so unless the series is recorded by another narrator I shall never finish the series.

Few books have captivated the imagination and won the devotion and praise of readers and critics everywhere as has George R. R. Martin’s monumental epic cycle of high fantasy that began with A Game of Thrones. Now, in A Feast for Crows, Martin delivers the long-awaited fourth book of his landmark series, as a kingdom torn asunder finds itself at last on the brink of peace . . . only to be launched on an even more terrifying course of destruction.

The Narration is the problem
Revisado: 05-13-14

Narration that was less grating
How did the narrator detract from the book?
His accent was Distracting to the point of not being to be able to focus on the story line. .
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
