Narrator sucks
Revisado: 02-25-25
Good book, a bit redundant. Most Distracting is how the narrator reads. Pronunciation is off— he puts emphasis on the wrong syllable in many words.

Historia
This book is about pleasure. It’s also about pain. Most important, it’s about how to find the delicate balance between the two, and why now more than ever finding balance is essential. We’re living in a time of unprecedented access to high-reward, high-dopamine stimuli: drugs, food, news, gambling, shopping, gaming, texting, sexting, Facebooking, Instagramming, YouTubing, tweeting....

Great concept, a LOT of opinions
Revisado: 06-05-23
There certainly were some gems and interesting concepts. This book had to be endured though, rather than enjoyed or learned from. Every other sentence is an opinion and citation of something in the past ex slavery, Socrates times as the model for why the past was better. What?! So hard to get through this book. Next time get a co-author or reality check before publishing.

Historia
Following Jane from her childhood as an orphan in Northern England through her experience as a governess at Thornfield Hall, Charlotte Brontë's Gothic classic is an early exploration of women's independence in the mid-19th century and the pervasive societal challenges women had to endure. At Thornfield, Jane meets the complex and mysterious Mr. Rochester, with whom she shares a complicated relationship that ultimately forces her to reconcile the conflicting passions of romantic love and religious piety.

Historia
Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo - he's just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn't absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

Historia
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

Russ Harris offers a surprising solution to low self-confidence, shyness, and insecurity: Rather than trying to "get over" our fears, he says, the secret is to form a new and wiser relationship with them. Paradoxically, it's only when we stop struggling against our fearfulness that we begin to find lasting freedom from it.

Confidence in a few hours
Revisado: 08-15-21
He’s really got the issues of confidence, dear, and motivation figured out. If you’re not living up to your potential, then this is the book for you. Performance was good too, though at times they’d say something like “turn the page” etc. Meditation exercises in books are hard to follow, but the points are made well. Life changer. I’ve already done many things I’ve been putting off for months and I just finished the book a few mins ago.
