SLOW AND BORING

Not near as interesting as her other series. I also don't like the way the narrator does children's voices. It's the same voice for every child in every series and they ALWAYS sound spoiled and bratty. When an adult tells them to do something they whine, pout and say "Not Fair!!" From now on I will avoid all Susan Sleeman books that have a child in it. I thought they would get better, but it's still the same!! I refuse to be around spoiled, brats and sure don't want to listen to them in my audiobooks.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE NARRATOR

I thoroughly enjoy Susan Sleeman’s books and have purchased nearly all of them and I’m sure this is another good one from her. However, the narrator has RUINED it!! I’m on chapter 10 and as much as I want to know how the story progresses, I’m not sure I can finish it. The narrator cannot do male voices at all!! All of the male voices either sound gravely, as if they have been gargling with razor blades, or they sound like cartoon characters. I wish I could return the book. I’m sorry I spent hard earned money on it!! I will NEVER purchase another book narrated by Emily Beresford.

This is my first time to listen or read anything from this author. The story is pretty slow moving but the worst part is the narrator!! She speaks so slowly and pauses long periods. I wanted to like this author because I love the Christian based books and want to support the authors, but if the next book has the same narrator I will not purchase it or any future books by this author.

I really enjoy Lynette Eason’s books. The stories are always very good, faith based, no bad language and no sex scenes. However, the narrator on this one is awful!!! The story takes place in S Carolina, yet she can’t do Southern accents. She also cannot do male voices. I will not purchase anymore books where Sara Sheckells is the narrator. Charlotte North and Callie Beaulieu are much better narrators.

Not as good as the first book. The storyline didn’t make sense and was all over the place. The narration of the child’s voice was HORRIBLE and VERY ANNOYING. She had such a whiny voice. I almost stopped listening because it was that bad.

I’ve enjoyed the previous 3 books in this series but not this one. It is extremely slow and deals mainly with thoughts of a relationship instead of the storyline. I only continued to endure it to keep up with the storyline of the series.

This is my first time to listen to this author. I appreciate how she presents the gospel but that is the only redeeming quality. There are too many convoluted plots and the characters are stuck on STUPID!! I only want faith based suspense books, but I don’t think I will try anymore from this author.

I really like Lynette Eason and usually enjoy her books a lot. But not this one. When I saw it was the first in a series, I was anticipating listening to the entire series. Not gonna happen!!! I appreciated how she shared the gospel, but the storyline was long and boring. It was as if she needed to stretch it out to a certain limit and put inconsequential details in. I will return this one and will not purchase the series. The Wranglers Corner series is much better!!!
