Historia
Refusing to believe that she would be abandoned as a young child, Jenna searches for her mother regularly online and pores over the pages of Alice's old journals. A scientist who studied grief among elephants, Alice wrote mostly of her research among the animals she loved, yet Jenna hopes the entries will provide a clue to her mother’s whereabouts. Desperate to find the truth, Jenna enlists two unlikely allies in her quest.

Childish

I read such great reviews about this book and expected so much from it. However, This book seems more appropriate for a middle school girl. The storyline and language is juvenile and I lost interest quickly. The narration is laid on thick. The narrator read the child’s dialogue like a valley girl with a stuffed up nose. It’s just too much…I gave it a good seven or eight hours but I just couldn’t take it anymore... I had to abandon the story. I’m very disappointed.

Narration by a robot
Revisado: 06-21-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The narration sounds like a computer, or as if I were waiting on hold on a bank line. Come on guys! I can't listen to this!
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator his horrible. She sounds like a computer program. I can't listen to this. I want to stick my pen in my eye.
