Christopher Dollanganger was 14 when he and his younger siblings - Cathy and the twins, Cory and Carrie - were locked away in the attic of Foxworth Hall, prisoners of their mother's greedy inheritance scheme. awesome

This book allowed me to relive a childhood favorite book from another perspective. The twist at the end was unexpected, but not surprising. It was good to hear it from Christopher's perspective, but also the connection to the young lady in the story and get own self discovery frog Christopher's story is amazing. The Foxworth story will never get old.

Good food for the soup

I liked that the book showed tje plight the professional black women have balancing life, love, family, and career. The story had a good pace, but it seemed as if the main character whined A LOT. She also didn't have the confidence of a woman of her caliber would be expected to have, but I believe that was the point of the story because she found her confidence in the end.
