Karen Miller should not be allowed to write.

Just terrible. I'd give it 1 star, but gave it an extra just because it's Star Wars. The author is awful and has another stinker (Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Wild Space) in the Star Wars universe.
Do people this bad have deals in place that allow them to write more books after the ones they've already written get largely bad reviews (which means it's not just me)? I got this without noticing the author's name. Otherwise I would have avoided it.

I agree with the first review. I can't believe this book is so long and says absolutely nothing. No specifics whatsoever. Just generalities.

I really enjoyed this book. It was similar to Stephen Ambrose books in that facts of the war are given, but supplemented with first hand accounts which help to personalize the events. Very interesting perspectives from American, British, German, Canadian, Russian. and Polish units. I liked hearing about the other beaches at Normandy attacked by the British and Canadians. The book covers D-Day to the end of the Atlantic campaign.
This was one of the first downloads that i experienced "feedback" or noises from poor recording, however. More noticeable since I was using headphones.
