Historia
Deadknobs and Doomsticks is a collection of 13 short horror stories by I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here's "King of the Jungle" and one of the UK's favourite comedians, Joe Pasquale. Ranging from the darkly bizarre to the horrifically surreal, many of the stories are laced with a theme of bullying and bullies.

Thought this would be more dark humor with a comedian reader.
Stories were not that great and for some reason the sound was like listening thru a tin can.

Historia
When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

I wanted to read Magpie Murders. instead there are 20 chapters about the editor of that book in 'present day' who is a terrible sleuth and way too verbose. The actual Magpie Murders storyline was entertaining.
