Historia
When award-winning economist Emily Oster was a mom-to-be herself, she evaluated the data behind the accepted rules of pregnancy, and discovered that most are often misguided and some are just flat-out wrong. Debunking myths and explaining everything from the real effects of caffeine to the surprising dangers of gardening, Expecting Better is the book for every pregnant woman who wants to enjoy a healthy and relaxed pregnancy—and the occasional glass of wine.

Good research but not complete
Revisado: 11-02-23
I appreciated the author’s commitment to research but on the home birth chapter she gave a recommendation that wasn’t supported by research that it is best to have a certified nurse midwife but gives no research to back that up. Also, while she explore risk of infant death at hospital and home, she didn’t address infant injury and that hospital interventions may create more risks of injury and than home births. And home births may result in less infant injury.

Historia
Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

Complicated Relationships
Revisado: 07-26-21
The story is all about people and their growth and their changes in their relationships to each other. Pay attention to details because the lives of each character are beautifully and satisfactorily interwoven with each other. It was one of the top four books I’ve ever read
