Historia
There’s a dress in Daisy’s closet. Silver. Low-backed. Tiny spaghetti straps. She’ll wear it to prom on the arm of Harris Zandari, the most gorgeous senior at her school. How did quiet, barely-there Daisy, land Harris Zandari? She watched him. She watched him so closely, and for so long, that she saw things no one else did. She saw through his charm, his bright, smiling face, to the sad, broken person underneath just waiting for the perfect sad, broken girl to complete him. Daisy was that girl.

This is a retelling of a very sad story that happened recently. It’s just too soon for me. If I’d have realized where this was going I would NOT have even considered this.

Loved this.
Revisado: 01-02-21
R L Mathewson is amazing. I love the depth that all of her characters have, while still possessing the ability to be hilarious. Her narrations is amazing as always. One of the only times I have been 100% fine with only having the female narration.

Shoving her dreams aside yet again, she tries to make a life for her siblings only to discover that nothing is going the way that it should. It's really cold. Love this series
Revisado: 01-02-21
This is the first book to one of the most amazing paranormal series that I have ever read. I absolutely loved it. Mathewson excels at world building. Thankfully unlike first books of a series, each explanation a funny part of the story not like attending a lecture of “the history of this world 101”. You learn very thing to not feel lost, while still enjoying the journey.

The rich and popular Sharks rule at prestigious, ivy-covered Camden Prep. Once upon a time, I wanted to be part of their world - until they destroyed me. The last thing I expected was an anonymous love letter from one of them. Please. I hate every one of those rich jerks for what they did to me. The question is, which Shark is my secret admirer? Knox, the scarred quarterback. Dane, his twin brother. Or Chance, the ex who dumped me...

I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.

Not for me
Revisado: 01-02-21
The narration is really great. I like these two, I always have. The story just wasn’t for me. For the exact reason that I typically avoid books like this. I am the exacta age as the characters, and I usually like to read about characters a little younger. I already spend time feeling like I am at a the midpoint, I don’t really enjoy reading an entire book focusing on som someone else’s midlife/ getting older vibes. That what you get here. She wasted a lot of her life with the wrong man and spends a fair amount to time lamenting about her woes. The ending want romantic at all too me they spend all of their forties together (almost a decade) and still haven’t married. He will never have kids of his own, instead having to share them with their very involved father. And the kids don’t even have the dignity of being able to call Noah their “step-dad” it “ my moms boyfriend” (and yeah it actually comes up, making this kinds sad moment). There is actually even a scene Fun is bragging about Noah to his fiend and he says something like “my almost step-dad”. I spent my whole childhood there, all of my friends had parents that were still together or step parents. Not me” we had moms live in boyfriend”. So that literally every time I talked about him, I was telling people our business. I couldn’t even call my step family “step”. Because they weren’t. I don’t like “been together almost a decade, be we don’t need paper (insert eyeroll here)” endings anyway, they aren’t romantic at all, but involving kids and someone who will never never get to have his own just made the whole thing so sad. It really drives the whole point about the fact that you are reading a story about middle aged people, home. It shows why so many of these books are boring. I have read a few about this age a group that I have liked, and what they all of in common is that the treat middle age like any other. There was still so much the main characters could do, and they had fun having new experiences together. This is very much the opposite. It’s a “lets lament about how we are getting older , and are past certain Pooh y, and all of these final decisions have been made about our lives.” The fin and spontaneity is gone. Like I said, I was left feeling sad for the characters, especially Noah. Although he was the one who was with her for over 6 years before even thinking of proposing so he stole some of the romance himself . so to summarize, basically just all of the crappy sad stuff we fear or focus on about becoming middle aged, with very little romance or fun. All drilled into your head with the most disappointing sad epilogue ever for a couple where no one died...

Nolan Lennox had things figured out. Named after a baseball legend, she enjoyed being the tomboy. Her closet was filled with her brother's hand-me-downs, cut-off jeans, and soccer shorts. But when her first trip to high school results in a broken heart from the first boy to ever make her heart flutter, and cruel words from an older girl she once thought a family friend, Nolan starts to question the very person she thought she was.

Absolutely awful story
Revisado: 12-21-20
This was just a horrible YA novel. The heroine is a complete doormat. She pines over him for 2 years while he dates her bully. They break up and he starts to see the heroine and they are ready to get together. Old gf tells him she is pregnant (she’s not) he blows of the heroine while still acting like he has a reason to hold onto her. He starts screwing around with other girls in front of her. He later confessed that during this month that he was supposed to be pining over her he slept with THREE other girls. One of whom was her best friends sister. He immediately starts defending himself and the sisters best friend because they were “so drunk” and “it didn’t mean anything”. He also confessed that he screwed the last girl on a night when he was calling her telling her how he wanted her. He demanded that she come and get him from the party. She does and takes care of him, tucking him in at home. He tells her he loves her. She stays to watch him and his dad ends up having heart attack. She literally saved his life. And he had just screwed this other girl. I do not understand how anyone would enjoy this book. Even after she saves his dads life he doesn’t stop making out with other girls in front of her. Year he got drunk one night and called her a whore accused HER of sleeping with other guys. He’s just a horrible hero. Of course she remains a virgin and waits for him. He barely grovels and she forgives everything. A waste of time!

Persephone Alexander. Math genius. Lover of blazers. The only girl I know who can make Heidi braids look sexy as hell. And she’s on a mission. Lose her virginity by the end of the semester. I walked in on her interview session for potential candidates (who even does that?) and saw straight through her brave front. She’s got a list of firsts to accomplish, like she’s only got months to live.

I loved this story so much. The two main characters are absolutely perfect for each other, even though they might not have ever thought it if not for the unconventional way they came together. I’m can’t wait for book number 4 that is coming out soon! The narration was awesome and I’m so happy that I used a credit on this.

Historia
Bryce Matthews doesn't do the whole nice boyfriend thing. Chocolates and flowers - girls can forget all that. And he certainly doesn't care about the gossip and rumors that follow him at school and around town. If anything, the talk amuses him. Bryce isn't lacking in confidence. He knows himself, and he knows his limits. One of those hard limits is Madison Issac. Bryce can never have her, and he's perfectly fine with that. Sometimes the fantasy is better than the reality anyway.

Ending ruins the book
Revisado: 12-17-20
I’m so confused. I really liked this guy, the narriration was great. But the author did not do a good job tying everything together. She mentions that she is a virgin in her inner monologue but never seems to tell him. The end up separated for a couple of months... He mentions in his inner monologue that he has tried to get over her, but no other girl has succeeded. Never clarified whether he had screwed them.then they are back together and there is an abrupt ending. So disappointing.

Arden Weathers is a girl on a mission, and that mission most certainly doesn't involve Brody Blastoviak, the hometown hottie who made her college prospects go boom six years ago. Tool-toting billionaire Brody Blastoviak knows better than to stick his you-know-what into crazy. So why is he losing his cookies over Arden Weathers, the uptight chemistry partner who "accidentally" torched his truck back in high school? Now, older and wiser, these former classmates are supposedly on the same team - working to restore a crumbling beach house that both of them want to claim as their own.

Ahhhh! I love this!
Revisado: 12-11-20
Having read the paper book I was beyond excited to learn this was available on audible. This story has everything, it’s the perfect read. Enemies to lovers without the cruelty that usually goes along, but all of the angst! Crazy sexual chemistry, and swiping smexy times, but not so many that we lose the actual plot. Bantering back and forth, our heroine is no doormat! An amazing grovel from the hero when they inevitably have a falling out over secrets kept. The narration is on point, they were chosen well. Bothe the male and female were able to switch characters easily. Definitely give this one a try, it was worth the credit (I’ll be adding it to my favorites).
