I will start with narration because it is easiest. Ryan Kennard Burke does an incredible job with, not just this book, but the entire Deathless collection. He makes each book an easy listen with seamless transitions from character to character and excellent control. He gives each character shape with inflection and tone which is amazing considering the number of characters in the book as well as the entire collection. Well done, sir!
Onto the books themselves... I have been enraptured by the series. I bought the first three books in a collection and listened to all 3 books twice in a row. I loved them both times. When I got this book, I listened to the first three for a third time before finally listening to this one. I cannot wait for "The Builders"! Chris Fox, you have a gift, good sir!
I have found only one thing questionable (sounds funny when discussing a book about werewolves, zombies, & vampires!), and it generally relates to the first couple books. Why would Osiris try to stop the spread of the werewolves as the ultimate leader of Moan Corp.? He, above all others aside from the Mother and Aheega (sp?), would know of their importance in the coming days.
Aside from that question, I found the books to be fascinating and unique. You've never heard a book about werewolves, zombies or vampires quite like these!!

An adrenalin fueled, testosterone soaked jaunt through a fantasy world filled with garden gnomes, trolls, werewolves, and even an homage to D&D in the form of gnolls! I loved it, and, in fact, it led me to the Monster Hunter International book series! The narrator is incredible and has enough ability to voice the myriad of characters found in the MHI universe! This was my 2nd listen of this book, and I look forward to many more monster Hunter adventures.

Kyle McCarly was born to narrate this series! He gives each character individuality and substance! Well done, sir!
I love these books! Drew is brilliant in his ability to write well developed characters that elicit genuine concern from the reader! The storyline is incredible and multifaceted. Hayes knows how to draw in the reader and keep them hooked then begging for more! I have read the first 3 years twice in anticipation of year 4. Finally, I get to start it today! Thank you Drew Hayes!

Excellent narration! Engaging storyline!

I cannot wait to listen to the next book in the series! I was not too sure about these books when I started listening to Gone, but I am definitely a fan. There is a hint of a Lord of the Flies undertone which gives the reader a terrifying sense of impending doom and a need to find out what awaits. Kyle McCarly is incredible as always!
