Historia
Max Remus couldn't care less about finding his mate—unlike the rest of his fate-obsessed pack. He totally prefers hanging with his bestie, eating his dad's steak sandwiches, and drawing in his trusty sketchbook. But all that is about to change at the Blue Moon Festival—a summer camp where Elite Pack wolves go to find their mates. The festival is a rite of passage for every teen werewolf, and this year's festival will be one to howl home about. The alpha's son, Jasper Apollo, is attending for the first time.

Good performance, lackluster plot
Revisado: 12-09-22
The title of my review really says it all. I appreciate the crossover romance/fantasy feel of the book, however I had a very difficult time getting through this book, and felt like character development was often overlooked for pushing through plot points that were haphazardly strung together. After getting four hours into the book, about halfway through, the plot seems to completely change from romance to espionage? I appreciate the representation, and the need for books like this, but it could use with a very strong edit.

Historia
It's 1942 and Willowjean "Will" Parker is a scrappy circus runaway whose knife-throwing skills have just saved the life of New York's best, and most unorthodox, private investigator, Lillian Pentecost. When the dapper detective summons Will a few days later, she doesn't expect to be offered a life-changing proposition: Lillian's multiple sclerosis means she can't keep up with her old case load alone, so she wants to hire Will to be her right-hand woman. In return, Will is to receive a salary, room and board, and training in Lillian's very particular art of investigation.

Historia
Nick Bell? Not extraordinary. But being the most popular fan-fiction writer in the Extraordinaries fandom is a superpower, right? After a chance encounter with Shadow Star, Nova City’s mightiest hero (and Nick’s biggest crush), Nick sets out to make himself extraordinary. And he’ll do it with or without the reluctant help of Seth Gray, Nick's best friend (and maybe the love of his life).

I expect nothing less from TJ Klune: a great fun story, sassy gays, and twists and turns. Though the story rambles a bit at times, it’s full of heart and wit. Awesome narration by Michael Lesley. Props for all the dialogue and voices to round out the world of the story.

Historia
Galaxy “Alex” Stern is the most unlikely member of Yale’s freshman class. Raised in the Los Angeles hinterlands by a hippie mom, Alex dropped out of school early and into a world of shady drug-dealer boyfriends, dead-end jobs, and much, much worse. In fact, by age twenty, she is the sole survivor of a horrific, unsolved multiple homicide. Some might say she’s thrown her life away. But at her hospital bed, Alex is offered a second chance: to attend one of the world’s most prestigious universities on a full ride. What’s the catch, and why her?

This Book: Totally Worth it
Revisado: 12-10-19
A number of reviewers on this site have lambasted the book for its style of using flashbacks and tying the book together tightly. I admit, it takes a chapter or two to get used to the style, but this is the beginning of a series, and it is worth the time and effort to get into the story. This is a very adult book, think Harry Potter with a lot more Voldemort and frat boys. The world Bardugo created is very solid and fully fleshed out. For those of you who are looking for answers to the mystery she has built, be patient, the pay off is coming, and well worth the wait. Enjoy!
