Such a strong work of historical fiction. It brings a new level of authenticity to the genre. No exaggeration. I’ve read a lot of the history of the pacific in WWII and this lines up so tightly and really brings it to life. Thank you. Godspeed on the next works!

Rare to see a new historical text that is written so well. This is what we need to keep history alive. Engaging in its prose and even handed in its judgement of character. I’m going to be reading Dan Jones more for sure.

I think this is Jack Carr’s best book! I love his nod to Fleming. It has everything you love about Carr and some deep ideas about how our future is unfolding. Well done sir. That being said I will not drink my coffee as you and James do.

Great writing. Many nonfiction writers fail to weave the facts in a cohesive narrative. Annie writes concisely yet filled with detail. She is objective and honest. Might be my new favorite author. Thank you for narrating also.
