Heartbreakingly Disappointing and Insulting

Definitely departed from the first book. Seemed more focused on how the Oasis fights bigotry than the actual quests. The author spends a bunch of time building and playing up Long as a potential LGBTQ+ love interest only to use her in 2 scenes as plot device. The ending also seemed underwhelming and out of nowhere when it came to what they did with the amazing tech revealed.
I personally loved Halliday as a role model for what Autistic (unconfirmed) Individuals can accomplish in this life with thier gifts. This book turned him into a monster with a token repentance in the end.
Overall I think this was more a political piece than a sequel to Ready Player One.
