Historia
Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

I had to force myself through this one
Revisado: 01-13-23
The book's content is more destructive than constructive, the reader is very bland and dry but not nearly as dry as his tongue sounds. I wanted to make him drink water the entire time. I kept hearing it click on the roof of his mouth. woof.
it's basically a bunch of negative speak on why money sucks because of odds according to one person's perspective and vague statistics. There's no psychology involved here. They should call it my personal theories on money according to a negative viewpoint that's hiding behind a thin veil of being a "realist."
if I wanted to be scolded for hours on the history of money I'd... well I wouldn't.

if you're looking for something that's going to help you in attempting to lucid dream this title isn't for you. if you're looking for a book that is someone else's specific personal experiences while lucid dreaming that's all this is... 12 hours of it. This one was tough to get through,I felt the the narrator was quite dry as well.

solid advice though
Revisado: 11-04-22
it's a little dated and not as inclusive for women in the workplace in a modern sense and I could do without the intervals of very loud classical music at the end of each chapter but regardless there's a plethora of priceless advice that's made this book stand the tests of time.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

somewhat helpful read
Revisado: 08-23-22
A partially bleak synopsis on methods in the search of an ego-driven purpose. There were some helpful perspectives and useful tools sprinkled within but I believe there are vastly deeper and greater understandings in modern day findings. Still it is an interesting and worthy read.

Historia
The greatest contribution of the ancient shamans to modern healing is the understanding that in the course of any life we are liable to suffer soul loss - the loss of parts of our vital energy and identity - and that to be whole and well, we must find the means of soul recovery. Moss teaches that our dreams give us maps we can use to find and bring home our lost or stolen soul parts. He shows how to recover animal spirits and ride the windhorse of spirit to places of healing and adventure in the larger reality.
