Former Army brat Morgan Albright has finally planted roots in a friendly neighborhood near Baltimore. Her friend and roommate Nina helps her make the mortgage payments, as does Morgan's job as a bartender. But after she and Nina host their first dinner party—attended by Luke, the flirtatious IT guy who'd been chatting her up at the bar—her carefully built world is shattered. The back door glass is broken, cash and jewelry are missing, her car is gone, and Nina lies dead on the floor.

Tacky suspense including the most annoying grandmother character ever. Lavender cocktails anyone? No thanks.

Historia
Molly the maid is all alone in the world. A nobody. She’s used to being invisible in her job at the Regency Grand Hotel, plumping pillows and wiping away the grime, dust and secrets of the guests passing through. She’s just a maid—why should anyone take notice? But Molly is thrown into the spotlight when she discovers an infamous guest, Mr Black, very dead in his bed. This isn’t a mess that can be easily cleaned up.

Morals for all ages
Revisado: 05-06-23
This is a story about a woman with asbergers. She's wrongfully accused of murder (nothing graphic) but receives help from kind people. Expect no suspense, twists or anything complicated or technical. It's just a feel good story about fatherly kindness and doing what's right. Not what I expected from the synopsis.

Historia
Newlyweds Tricia and Ethan are searching for the house of their dreams. 50/50
Revisado: 12-14-22
I could hardly stand the first half of the book. It's a bleak carbon copy of a random domestic thriller about a gullable woman who makes the gaslighting process simple by also being stupid. Do we really need the narrator to sing the word "swoon" twice in 5 minutes? The rest of the book is interesting enough with some twists and turns that I'm sure many listeners will like. Still... why make the first 4 or so hours plain bad?

Historia
Born into a wealthy and powerful Boston family, Renee Charlebois has it all. Except for one small detail. She’s been abducted without a trace. Who took her, and why, is a mystery. The case gets dropped on Curtis Westcott’s desk, but Boston’s chief of homicide has little to work with. No clues, no body, no motive. Renee had no enemies, no financial skeletons in the closet, and no bitter ex-boyfriends.

Unlikely problem solving that had me rolling my eyes. Narrator's in a hurry..slow him down a bit. Story ok, not original. You know what you're getting.

P&C clearly didn't put much effort into this book. Shallow dialogue, a bit cringe at times. All and all it reads like a commercial break between some of their deeper work. I wish they didn't do the "romance" parts. At least I finished it.
