I do not agree with most of Liz Cheney policies, but I have incredible respect for how she has stood up and told the truth about what happened after the 2020 election.
This book is amazing. She grills Kevin McCarthy like a tuna.
It is an inside look at what was going on on the GOP side of things.

I didn’t know much about Marjorie Post. I enjoyed reading about who she was and what a wonderful head for business she had. Don’t know why she was so unlucky in love.
My book club took a road trip to Hillwood Estate in DC and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It’s been a long time since a book could make me tear up.
The friendship between Grace and Rocky was incredibly well-drawn.
I don’t know if the science was accurate or not, but I suspended my disbelief willingly and went along for the ride.
And what a wonderful ride it was. When I got to the end, I was sad that I had finished the book, which is always the mark of an excellent book.

I’m glad I finished the book, because the ending is great. But it was very long road to get there.
Narration was great. Her interpretation of Luc’s voice was magnificent.
If this hadn’t been the selection for my book club, I might have given up.
Really good premise. But I didn’t need to know what they had for lunch everyday. (A bit of sarcasm there)

I was pulled in to the story very quickly, and listened to this book over only a few days. I really enjoyed the idea of the midnight library, and trying out different lives that could have been.
Some deep reflections on life and regrets.
Sure, there’s a “It’s a Wonderful Life” quality to it, but hey. Maybe that’s because it IS a wonderful life.

I saw the movie, and was spellbound by that. This book is every bit as engaging.
Unbelievable hardship.
Was the mission a success because no one died, or a failure because it did not accomplish its goal?
What draws a man to want to undertake this kind of expedition??

Thought I'd never get through it

The only reason I finished this book was that it was a selection for my book club.
Too many disjointed scenes... too many characters with no apparent connection to one another.
I have so many questions..
Why did it matter that Arthur died on stage and Kirsten was there when the virus began? Why did they keep going back to that?
Why did some people have names, and others were "the guitar, the flute"?
I get the "survival is not enough" theme.. but really.. a traveling band of folks performing Shakespeare (but calling themselves "The Symphony")?
Who and why was the prophet?
What did the Station Eleven stuff have to do with anything? (Why is that the name of the book)?
Most of all..
WHAT WAS THE POINT???
I hope there is a LOT OF WINE at my book club meeting this Sunday....
