Historia
In Everthing Is F*cked, Mark Manson turns his gaze from the inevitable flaws within each individual self to the endless calamities taking place in the world around us. Drawing from the pool of psychological research on these topics, as well as the timeless wisdom of philosophers such as Plato, Nietzsche, and Tom Waits, he dissects religion and politics and the uncomfortable ways they have come to resemble one another. He looks at our relationships with money, entertainment, and the internet, and how too much of a good thing can psychologically eat us alive.

Mark Manson at his Best.
Revisado: 04-30-23
As Mark Manson himself describes the process, struggles, criticism, and the audience he was aiming for his second book on youtube, this book is on a completely different level. His eloquence expression of the ideas - some being utterly controversial - he wanted to talk about, the topics themselves, and the way of entangling them to get to the point, while simultaneously making them so simple, was a joy to listen to. Compared to The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, it's obvious that he pushed himself to write the way he wrote, the repetitiveness of structures sometimes stands out. But if you listen to the audiobook version of it, he compensated for all the criticisms, at least in my humble opinion, with the beautiful narration of his. Overall, a joy to listen to, and I'll definitely listen to it again.

Third time is the charm? Nope.
Revisado: 04-23-23
I tried to listen to this book three times:
On my first try, I basically gave up since I was disappointed with the quality of the narration over the first preamble to the story. Second try, I was bored to death with the amount of unnecessarily prolonged prelude to the story. I tried repeatedly. Nope. Third and final try, I skipped the first part, and went directly for the story. Survived the first chapter, but the second chapter - each chapter is narrated by a different narrated - was narrated as if the woman was holding her number one while doing it. I'm not gonna try again. Just disappointed.

Story of perseverance
Revisado: 04-23-23
A story of perseverance. How regardless of the messy world we live in, there are still people who would put others, in this case, a 9-year-old child, and humanity ahead of theirs, well, as long as they're aligned.
