Very cutesy rom com book. Predictable but light and easy to enjoy. The only draw back was the male narrator. I did not enjoy his voice as much.

I tried, I really did… kept telling myself one more chapter but I finally gave up. It was bad. The female character was awful. So pathetic it was cringy. “Are you my person?” Yuck gross. No thanks.

Meh-Not worth the credit

Jacob Morgan was a huge draw for me as he never disappoints but he even can’t help this book. I can sometimes deal with Emma’s breathyness but the heroine was either written really badly or Emma’s voice made her super whiny and weak. The story line was very superficial and no real depth to it.

Annoying heroine alert

I saw the reviews about the insecure female lead and thought it can’t be that bad… so I gave it shot (and mostly because of Jacob Morgan). But yeah, she was really annoying and kept leaping to judgements when she should have known better. I’m not sure why Harrison would want someone like Tatum. I made it to the end which is why it got 2 stars and Jacob’s narration always makes things better. But a story where you find the main character annoying and could really care less if she gets her HEA is not a good one.

Glad this was free

I really loved Molly’s other books but this one was all over the place and I could not connect with any of the characters. While a part of me wanted to know why Adam was cloning her phone and computer and what secret he had… I ultimately had to bail on this book early on. It just wasn’t written well enough to keep me invested into the story. Thankfully it was part of the plus catalog so I didn’t have to waste a credit.

Payoff was meh

I liked the premise and overall story but the payoff was lackluster. Also, he was such a-hole to her so I felt like he should have had more of a grand gesture and acknowledge how bad he made her feel. That was all glossed over. Narration by Jason was phenomenal as always but I didn’t like Samantha’s “male” voice.

I really enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to listening to the follow ups but this one wasn’t good. I never got into either character. Natalie treatment of Sean after the reveal and towards the end was weird and unwarranted. Also, the book as a whole felt rush at times. There should have been less subplots so that the author could have focused on the main things.

Love the back and forth

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book but got it because I love both narrators. It exceeded my expectations. I love the back and forth between the characters. It was really refreshing to listen to a strong female character who is vulnerable at times but still true to herself. So many of these romance tropes just lets the male characters run over the female. The banter was fun and witty too. I only docked stars because I hate cliffhangers and having to purchase 2 additional books.

Narration doesn’t help

I’ve never been a fan of Emma’s narration but I enjoy Pippa’s books so I thought I would give it a whirl. The story was sweet and funny and I think I would like it better if I read it. Emma’s voice just made Muffy sound was more whiny and her insecurities started to annoy me mid way through the book. Also, I had to deduct points when I heard Emma say gif like jif instead of with the hard g. LOL. Sorry, pet peeve... it’s GIF not JIF.
Also, I think this book was a bit too long. Her quirks weren’t endearing enough to suffer through 9 plus hours of listening. But again, maybe it was the narrator.

Easy listen

This was a fun and low level drama story. Aubrey was a new narrator for me and I really liked her. The male narrator is horrible but thankfully he only does the epilogue so it didn’t ruin the story for me. If I had to listen to him throughout the whole book, I might have had to stop listening. The only thing that was missing was some kind of closure or resolution with her horrible family.
