4.5⭐️ Short and full of tension. Just what I would expect from Ali Hazelwood. She knows how to write a broody male main character. I fall for it every time.

Viola is so ready for this chance of a lifetime. She will help create a game based on her favorite book series. If only her teammate wasn’t Jesse Andrews. He has proven time and time again that he wants nothing to do with her. But the company believes a retreat will be a great way to build up rapport. When snow makes it hard to leave, Viola and Jesse are forced together even more. Will they be able to understand one another and see if the tension is hate or chemistry waiting to be explored.

Fated mates, forbidden romance

This was definitely a good time. I liked the trials they went through, the prophecies that help build tension between Kya and Ryker.

The Trial has come again. Kya must enter; and if she isn’t deemed Worthy, she will suffer a fate potentially worse than death. Not to mention the plague that is spreading. She has no Nation or strong power. Can she truly be Worthy?

Ryker has his shadow power, his Nation, but not his mate. Until he can sense her going into the Trial. When someone tells him it will destroy all he’s built to claim the mate bond, can he risk it all for her.

Quirky, quippy, and just super cute.

4.75⭐️ What a wonderful setting for some reading! The only reason it’s not a five for me is because I LOVED Dead Romantics. But man, did @heyashposton get another home run. I already knew I loved her books, but then she goes and quotes Howl’s Moving Castle. Be still my heart. 🤣 A little slow in the beginning but so worth the wait. It’s quirky, quippy, and just so so good. Even the titles of each chapter are fantastic.

Eileen doesn’t want to fall in love again. Romance novels never let her down and don’t break her heart. Excited for the book club retreat, she heads out. Her car, however, has other ideas. Eileen is now stranded in a small town. The only thing is this town is very familiar. Too familiar. Turns out it’s Eloraton. The town from her favorite romance series. The author tragically died in an accident leaving her last book unfinished. Leaving Eloraton frozen. Maybe that’s why she’s here. Maybe the handsome, mint green eyed bookstore owner will help her believe love can be found outside of a romance novel. Almost running him over may not have helped though.

Trails, romance, and definitely worth a try

4.75 ⭐️s. This gave me Kingdom of the Wicked vibes, and I was absolutely here for it.

I’ve seen TikTok’s of @laura_horowitz_narrator and was so excited to have my first audiobook with her narrating. It was amazing to say the least. I immediately purchased Worthy of Fate because she narrated it also.

Ophelia’s mother has died, and now she must take over the family business as a necromancer. When her sister goes missing, she must put the Grimm house and the horrible debt behind to find her. She learns that her sister has entered Phantasma. Ophelia must now enter the deadly contest for the one wish she must have granted. Save her sister. In order to win Phantasma, she must make a bargain. Blackwell is a phantom and claims he can help her but Ophelia must give something in return. 10 years of her life. She shouldn’t trust him but there’s something that keeps drawing her to him. Read to find out if Ophelia finds her sister, discover more about Blackwell, and whether or not she lives through Phantasma.

Great addition to the These Hollwed Vows duology

4.5⭐️s. Really enjoyed Jasalyn’s story and the addition of Felicity. This has a Prince and the Pauper vibe which worked well. I saw a lot of recommendations to read These Hollowed Vows and These Twisted Bonds first. I do agree with that. It helped considering those have more world building.

While Jas is struggling greatly with the ptsd after Mordeus’s torture, she is on a mission to kill anyone who had any dealings with him. But what will happen when rumors stir that Mordeus is alive. Felicity too has a goal, but this one is to save her brother and remain hidden. When her brother kidnaps Jas, Felicity agrees to take her place since she has the ability to take on someone else’s appearance. Jas is surprisingly okay with this. Well, not super surprising because she feels utterly smothered and unable to let her sister and others in that just want to help. Will Felicity be able to hide the truth from Misha? Can Jas trust Kirkwood and still hide her goal for revenge?

Nigel has my heart!!!❤️😭 So much betrayal, healing, magic, romance, and wonderful adventure.

I binge the audiobook because I’m a little crazy. Amazing narration by @singlewithfries @katharinechinactor and @jamesfouhey (hopefully more narration from Misha in book 2)

Tristan is a Fae warrior on duty and has a soft spot for humans and others that would generally be considered below him. This confuses Cassandra greatly. That and her undeniable attraction to Tristan. But his memory of her can’t remain. She has the ability to take it, and she does.

As more of her fellow sisters are disappearing, Tristan and her paths continue to cross. As they seek to find what is happening, they question where their loyalties lie. Tristan’s with the Fae or with humans. Cassandra’s with the temple or with Tristan.

A good hallmark type story

I was able to get an advanced copy of the audiobook, and really enjoyed the story and the narrator, Aoife McMahon. It gives me a feeling of a Hallmark movie. Wholesome, light reading, and an anticipation for the happy ending.

This story focuses on an Irish family trying not to lose their family home. Lily is the oldest daughter and is determined not to lose the home but make it better than ever. Her grandmother, Sylvia hasn’t been able to maintain the large property and everything needs repairs. Dominic is an engineer/singer that has Lily frustrated if not a little smitten too. Thanks to Net Galley, Dreamscape Media, and Susanne O’Leary for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook.
