Historia
In her brand-new collection, Phoebe shares stories that will make you laugh, but also plenty that will hit you in the heart, inspire a little bit of rage, and maybe a lot of action. That means sharing her perspective on performative allyship, White guilt, and what happens when White people take up space in cultural movements; exploring what it’s like to be a woman who doesn’t want kids living in a society where motherhood is the crowning achievement of a straight, cis woman’s life; and more.

Historia
As one of the music world’s most iconic artists and the cofounder of the organizations ONE and (RED), Bono’s career has been written about extensively. But in Surrender, it’s Bono who picks up the pen, writing for the first time about his remarkable life and those he has shared it with. In his unique voice, Bono takes us from his early days growing up in Dublin, including the sudden loss of his mother when he was fourteen, to U2’s unlikely journey to become one of the world’s most influential rock bands, to his more than twenty years of activism.

Surrender 2 40 Songs One Story
Revisado: 01-17-23
As a U2 fan since I heard New Years Day when I was a teenager, I have loved Bono’s voice and the music of U2. The stories are amazing, the music and the impressions well.. make this one of my favorites.

Historia
During André Leon Talley’s first magazine job, alongside Andy Warhol at Interview, a fateful meeting with Karl Lagerfeld began a decades-long friendship with the enigmatic, often caustic designer. Propelled into the upper echelons by his knowledge and adoration of fashion, André moved to Paris as bureau chief of John Fairchild’s Women’s Wear Daily, befriending fashion's most important designers (Halston, Yves Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta). But as André made friends, he also made enemies.

ATL!
Revisado: 11-11-20
I used to read Andre’s column in Vogue but I never knew who he really was. I knew he had a vast knowledge of fashion. I loved this book, it gave me so much insight on him... Anna... Karl.. and the brilliant Ms. Vreeland. I was also funny and sad.. all the friendships. The parties, the living and the deaths. I thank Mr. Talley for sharing his life with me!

What’s in a name? A lot. The name Tinaca, for example, has been passed down in the Jones family for generations of women. In fact, the Joneses name a Tinaca every other generation, to let the name breathe a little. To let each Tinaca shine. And shine is exactly what Tinaca Jones intends to do.

Could be a true story!
Revisado: 01-11-20
Highlight of this story is Retta! As Tinaca Jones, she’s hilarious! I would recommend to my friends who have a sense of humor and don’t mind profanity. I loved all the cultural references as well. Got me through 4 commutes to work and from work.
