Great storyline. BUT too much repetition of EVERY!

The author must think we have no ability to remember anything. Then not only was there so much repeat there is way to much commentary. I deleted and will be requesting refund.

Aurora Academy series was sooooooo much better.

I remember listening to the audio sample and decided not to purchase it. Then I came across the Aurora Academy series and loved it. But what I didn’t know was both were part of the same story line. So after being so happy with Aurora Academy I decided to purchase Zodiac Academy. How disappointing! There were several parts of the book that made zero sense. I skipped at least 4 chapters just to get to the good stuff. I didn’t miss anything because of the constant drawn out repeat of what they went through. I’m truly hoping that book 2 isn’t as overly dramatic and makes more sense like the Aurora Academy one. I do really like the story line.

Completely disappointed!!!!

The first book was frustrating enough! I won’t spoil it but I will say the Ending is absolutely terrible! I skipped chapters cuz I was so disappointed!

Good story line.. BUT

I listened to all the books. I skipped chapters here n there and sped up words. I couldn’t stand how whiny the main character “Evie” was. She constantly goes on n on about how she must protect... blah blah. It was all the other characters that kept me listening.

Frustrating book

What did you like best about Blood of the Earth? What did you like least?

I love the Jane yellow rock series. I especially love the narrator. I did forget how much unnecessary descriptions of the land, how the wind was blowing, The smell in the air, the leaves rustling on the ground, The laundry hanging from the line, the Winchime making sound as the wind blew through, The way her hair with around her face as the wind blew, The feel of something wrong in the woods, the feel of the woods telling me something was wrong, I think it took about 10 minutes to get to the point where someone would actually coming up the driveway . I didn't even get past the second chapter and I was already fast forwarding pass the descriptions of the sidewalk or the way the sky looked in the moonlight. It took five minutes just to get to the main point of why someone was at her door . Too much descriptions is just too much. By the time they're done describing what the room looks like I forgot why the heck they were even there .

Would you be willing to try another book from Faith Hunter? Why or why not?

I'll always try, in hopes that it's better because I love the storyline just not all the stuff in it

Did Blood of the Earth inspire you to do anything?

It only inspired me to return it and get my credit back

Less descriptions of stuff around them. I fast forwarded through mos of the book. as soon as it started describing a room or the trees or someones face I have heard more than once I hit the Fast forward 30 secs till it was over and dang if sometimes it was almost 3 mins of describing a hall way or something. But the plot was good enough for me to keep listening.
