so fake

I liked the idea. secret government agency gives someone a second chance to work for them in secrecy. but geez this is so fake! after 1 mission this guy is "the best they have ever seen". and he is supposed to be so smart and knows everything yet calls magazines "clips" over and over. and they just go to hotels and sleep while on mission with no fear of anyone attacking them in their sleep. the smart kid is a need, the "muscle" named Moose literally sou is like Rocky and Bullwinkle.lol. and the girl is the best driver in the world. lol if you're like me and like stories that are realistic this isn't the series for you. if I didn't already pay for it I wouldn't have forced my way through it. Just way too fake and flat out cheesy!

another book and another weird obsession with smoking. that's the only way I can put it. everyone smokes and they "suck their cigarettes". smoking is way too much of a focal point in this series. weird

pretty good story line. I do like that it isn't all about just the main character. you get multiple people and story lines to follow in detail. But for the love apparently EVERYONE smokes and says "i see"

pretty good story line. but it's really hard to get over the refusal to write how people actually talk. especially tough military guys. everything is "will not" and not "won't", "can not" and not "can't" etc. the entire story. for the love use real speach in the future please

worth a listen

it's ok. the story and plot are petty good. But it's obvious the writer doesn't have a lot of knowledge about firearms and the military. not near enough detail about weapons or tactics and the story jumps ahead pretty far in a few spots. overall considering the last few books they were do fake and have terrible narrators this one is with a listen. this is no Ember but it will do for now

terribly unbelievable

this book was flat out terrible. I forced myself to kekeep listening to it only because I aalready paid for it. I literally rolled my eyes a dozen times. obviously this is fiction. but there's is so much wrong it's almost embarrassing. these people are from Georgia and the words they use are basically what a Yankee, doctor would say. even the little kids. the family is so nice and soft they would of been dead in a month. they won't take solar panels from an abandoned house because it's the wrong thing to do. they end up basically as prisoners but they have super traditional gender roles and the mom in the story just can't let that pass for a little while. she has to prove she can do anything. lol. there solution to starvation is growing a garden. like what has the town been eating the last few months in the mean time? food and water are never a big enough issue. they manage to be able to survive on a couple cans of food and a little water. they end up walking from Georgia to South Carolina with an old lady, a 2 year old, a blind girl and a hurt woman but stealing a van is like the end of the world. they want to return it. lol. it's literally a life of death situation and they stogie rather die than take it. they seem to randomly come up with medicimedicinal herbs all the time. at one point they don't want to pay for expensive fuel so they work all day long to trade for it even though they have a pocket full of cash and are in a huge hurry to get home to the rest of the family and then reference having the cash later on to pay for something. they find a boat that is still well maintained with can food and bottle water 4 years into the event that has couches and places sleep and live yet the owner is dead in a tent in the beach. who lives in a tent even you have a boat sub a sleeping quarters? just tons of completely stupid and infuriating things like these. there's are a ton more not i don't want to spoil the entire series of someone reads this and is a gluten for punishment. just do so terrible. I hate a wasted money on this and forced myself to waste 51 hours struggling through it. luckily I had plenty of grass to cut to get through it.

not my cup of tea. I'm more a survival, apocalypse or action kind of guy. This story turned into wayvmore scy fi than I like. but to each is own

only complaint I hadn't is that the series ended! the best series I've heard on hear in the 5 years ir so I've had audible. Ray Porter like tune narrating again. quickly becoming one of oh not my favorite narrator
