Historia
I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

Addictive listening
Revisado: 03-10-18
I’ve listened to and read a lot of fiction and this without a doubt is one of my favourites. Beautifully performed, a captivating story from start to finish. Easily the best fiction I’ve listened to for many years.

An insightful listen
Revisado: 04-03-15
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and highly recommend it.
I was a little sceptical as to how an art book would go as an audio book but as I have a bit of an art background I thought why not. So glad I did. Will covers in detail the movement and inspiration of the various art movements from the impressionists to today. Insightful, funny and a great performance by Roy McMillan. I did stop the book at times to google the various artworks he described but I found that did not impact on my enjoyment at all.
Five stars without a doubt.

Historia
Based in part on Dickens's own life, it is the story of a young man's journey from an unhappy and impoverished childhood to the discovery of his vocation as a successful novelist. Among its gloriously vivid cast of characters, he e.ncounters his tyrannical stepfather, Mr. Murdstone; his formidable aunt, Betsey Trotwood; the eternally humble yet treacherous Uriah Heep; the frivolous, enchanting Dora; and one of literature's great comic creations, the magnificently impecunious Mr. Micawber.

A fantastic classic beautifully delivered
Revisado: 09-12-12
David Copperfield is a masterfully constructed story with vivid characters, dramatic struggles, love and loss. Set in the form of a first person memoire David Copperfield follows a man's life, tracking his loss's, joys and aspirations as he struggles to find his place and happiness. Simon Vance does a fantastic job of the narration bringing the characters and their emotions to life in all of their glory, doing justice to this classic.

Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.

A book for business and life
Revisado: 05-25-11
Simon Sinek in his easy to listen to and thought provoking book explains how business' who describe or identify themselves by their process' or what it is they do rather then why they do it, find themselves directionless and floundering in their chosen field.
By starting with why they exist, an organisation or individual can focusing on that purpose allowing clarity and congruency within their decision making. People are inspired and motivated by the why; it allows them to identify with the individual or organisation.
Simon presents his thoughts in a logical and easy to follow manner. His voice is enjoyable, and he presents his material passionately and with conviction. I enjoyed his presentation thoroughly and recommend it highly to anyone interested in developing a why to their business or interests in life.

An early work that doesn't show Robin's full value
Revisado: 10-08-10
I purchased this audio book after listening to Robin's free book on leadership (a book that I highly recommend you do listen to). Although The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari is packed full of interesting and useful ideas, I found the story to be simple and the dialogue to be almost anoyingly so at times. Still well worth the time to listen too and draw upon; however, the book failed to demonstrate the maturity of Robin as the presenter he is now.

Facinating Insight
Revisado: 10-03-10
An enjoyable and easy to follow audio book which provided remarkable insight into counter insurgency tactics. The book was well read and laid out. Highly recommended for anyone trying to make sense of insurgencies in play across the globe.
A must.
