good fun

I loved it except for all of the Teen Angst that was thrown in, I understand that they were just flushing out the characters and teenagers do act that way... but it was laid it on a little bit thick....

other than that it was a reasonable story with good fun, red raptor....(what's with all of birds?!) was an interesting little coming to age Tale, osprey in her "real" voice was quite annoying... but still all in all a good fun book and I'm waiting for the next one.

I struggle to get my bearings for the first 20 minutes or so, once I did it was a well done story. I enjoyed the fact that they added in the illegal immigrants, something that the comics glossed over.
considering the age of the Superman I would more like him to Superboy,

yes I know it's silly... at times it can be downright hilarious... I will be anxiously awaiting the next book to come out.. the series has been a blast! Boxy has everyone cheering for evil! my thanks to the writer and sound booth, you've made my commutes wonderful!

I'll start simply .... at the beginning it's set up several expectations, and then wham bam you're into a dungeon... with no real explanations, and a missing companion... after they built the companion up so much in the beginning.... the story was hard to listen to and a linear fashion, I would get lost at times in the middle of the battle only to find that he threw in some kind of a flashback that explains what was happening...even more annoying is that it was not a smooth flashback, and left you wondering whether or not the author had read his own words... and had one of those ooh I made it too bad moments and had to go back and fix it with a flashback... or he was purposely using it to build tension thinking the character was going to die again.....the Imp voice was particularly annoying as they tried to make it a cross between smegal and Yoda.... I really don't see much hope for the second book... I still stuck it out to see what was happening... and it was quite anti-climatic to me. and the evil stats... they would complete an entire list of stats just to start another list of stats... and I've never seen a game yet where 3 level 2o's can take on level 65... triple their number of same level Minions, and a small company of thieves,... way way way overpowered hero... with just a bunch of simple game mechanics tossed in so they could call it RPG lit. .

Good listen...but....

So, the new books in this series are not available, so if you are looking for more then one, then wait until they are put out. They were finished (wrote) in 2019- you can go download and read them...but for some reason Audible or Author related (they wont tell you) the next 2 books in the series are not available to listen too.

The book was fun, with some new takes on Magic Use, and a great start (coming of age) book. So just for this one I had to give it all the stars, (Grandpa was fun, and the Cat)

It was juvenile in places, but you can expect that from a young adult story.

So waiting on the next ones to come out...or may just go get them and put a auto reader like the dragon to reading it for me. (I can't read normally with my eyes now days, and prefer not to have to magnify each line/word.

Can't even pre-order them yet either .... Bah! Of all the Thick headed releases! I can see many fans going away and never coming back because they forget it, after waiting too long.
