Even Better Than I Expected!
Revisado: 03-10-25
I am a fan of LARRY’s weekday YouTube shows and knew this book HAD to be good, but….this is WAY better than I expected.
LARRY does a fantastic job (it’s his life career) of chronicling the last decade of American politics, hitting on every detail that you and I may have lost sight of along the way.
LARRY is simultaneously hysterical and historical in his fast-paced and brilliant recounting of what history may look back on as the most important election of modern times. Well done, LARRY !
One minor con amidst a virtual plethora of pros: LARRY reads his book very fast: I had to slow it down to 90% speed so I wouldn’t miss anything.

In this book, Riley scrutinizes the perspectives of athletes on the opposing side of this debate, deconstructing their arguments with science, facts, and logic. She also asks what has happened to free speech and dissent in this country, where it now seems nearly impossible to have a well-reasoned debate. And in telling her story, Riley reveals what’s at stake if the truth-seekers remain silent about the injustices women face from radical agendas.

BRILLIANT Treatment of a Very Important Issue
Revisado: 10-13-24
Bravo! Riley Gaines and her co-author tackle a tough topic with fact, science, and plain old common sense. I learned a lot and am encouraged to speak out against this false and hurtful ideology of the “trans mafia”. Actually may listen again it was so well done.

Such a beautiful reading of an in-depth look at the tragedies of the Holocaust from an intelligent and well-spoken young lady thrust into one of the worst times in recent history. Would recommend to anyone, including anyone foolish enough to doubt the Holocaust ever happened.

Historia
Discovered in the attic in which she spent the last years of her life, Anne Frank’s remarkable diary has since become a world classic - a powerful reminder of the horrors of war and an eloquent testament to the human spirit. In 1942, with Nazis occupying Holland, a 13-year-old Jewish girl and her family fled their home in Amsterdam and went into hiding. For the next two years, until their whereabouts were betrayed to the Gestapo, they and another family lived cloistered in the “Secret Annex” of an old office building.

BRILLIANT BEYOND WORDS
Revisado: 05-06-24
I was born ten years after the end of the war to an American father who served our country, and a wonderful mom who waited for him, but now hear this for the first time in my long, safe, life. Anne’s story and those of so many other voices from this era must continue to be shared and should be required reading in every high school around the world. Looking at the common-day ignorance of far too many of our college-going youth of 2024, I sadly doubt this is happening.
Thank you, narrator Selma Blair for a perfect reading of Anne’s heartfelt and inspiring diary.

Fauci Lied, unnecessary Millions Died
Revisado: 04-02-24
Fantastic study with excellent narration. Much of what Dr. Paul shares is sadly common knowledge to anyone who has paid attention the last few years, but his deep understanding and careful explanation of the dirty details reinforces the terrible deception of our own American government, and the abuse and misuse of a “government emergency” that removed freedoms, harmed vulnerable children and saw far too many of our elderly left to die.
This book belongs in a time capsule sealed for the benefit of the future: let’s not be fooled again!

Eddy Hamel was the greatest American soccer player you’ve never heard of. He was the first American to play in any major European league, and for a while, he was the most popular player at one of Europe’s biggest clubs, Ajax of Amsterdam. He was also a Jew, at a time, and in a place, where his religion was effectively a death sentence. After two decades of brilliant football, first as star player and then as a highly successful coach, beloved by the Jews of Amsterdam, Eddy and his family were swept up in the Nazi’s ‘Final Solution.’ Hamel became one of very few Americans to be sent to...

Fascinating & Sad History that Must be Told
Revisado: 03-19-24
Obviously well researched and carefully-told story. The author’s narration is measured and sure, with a feeling that puts you into this terrible time in our too-recent history. Musical background is beautiful; adding to the mood of the story without being intrusive. I honestly knew next to nothing about the extent of the Holocaust in Holland, and focusing on Eddy Hamel makes it even more emotional and personal. Well worth the listen.

Revisado: 03-11-24
Even though I “unknowingly” saw RUSH in concert at Winterland in early ‘76, (when I truly recall them being wrongly introduced as “Mahogany Rush!) I was a late-comer to appreciating all that this talented trio accomplished over a (my) lifetime. Really enjoyed this well-spoken journey through all the life memories Geddy shared, including the reverent attention to his own parents and ancestors who did, and didn’t, endure through the horrors of the Holocaust. Thank you, Mr. Lee.

Another Incredible Adam Makos Offering
Revisado: 04-20-23
I confess, having been born a few years after, I knew little to nothing about the Korean War, let alone what it meant in the annals of recent history. Adam Makos’ “Devotion” brought to life much of the air war, ground war, and life at sea on a carrier. But this is not a mere history book; this is the Korean conflict as seen through the eyes of those who personally experienced it, and the many who gave their lives for it. Well done.
