It is a beautiful story of love and overcoming so much adversity and pain

This is a story that takes you into the lives of people in Russia and Germany before and shortly after WW2. Makes you appreciate peace and what we have now, the horrors of war and prosecution, innocent people suffering, and the pain of losing your loved ones, while being able to overcome and survive.

I read this book 25 years ago and left me with many questions, now after listening to it I understand it more, it provides a glimpse into life after death (physical death) and gives us so much hope, it makes more sense now what reincarnation means and why it is the best explanation to why we are on earth.

beautifully written book and story

I grew up in Colombia and always heard about this book, we had a copy at home and never got to read it. Now at 46 years of age , I am glad to have waited because back then I probably wouldn't have been able to appreciate its beauty. Every word exquisitely chosen , every character so carefully detailed , I felt like I was in Macondo, like a 3rd person watching everything unfolding and really couldn't stop wondering what was going to happen to each character. I had to cheat a little bit and downloaded a character guide, there are so many generations and Aurelianos that is hard to keep up (at least for me) with which Aureliano is which. This is one of the books I've enjoyed the most, the narration is excellent.

Best book in investing in your financial future!

This has been eye opening! This by far has been the best book I have come accross in investing, managing your income and retirement! By living below your means,saving 50% of your income,investing in certain stocks, not following the herd of consumerism,the big house,cars,student loans,credit card, and avoiding debt! I can see how our society is programmed and brain washed to buy the latest and greatest gadgets and consume ! You too can obtain financial freedom and physical freedom if you follow the simple path to wealth!

Excellent book,we all need a brain scan.Many times we judge others,look down upon them,get frustrated without really understanding how their brain works and how their personality and everything they do is affected by it.This book really helps you recognize the symptoms and know what to do to help the person in need.
