pretty sure at the time I picked this up, it was lumped in with a fair amount of harem lit rpg stuff. I picked it up thinking it might be more of the same.

the book is just bad.

I'm typically not the type to give up. but boy I had too. save your credits and skip.

The series is a rare breed that I'll follow to the end. Where caverns and creatures fumbles in fart jokes and mediocrity, Spells Swords and Stealth shines as bright as Mithingow herself.

Just throwing it out into the world. Women just don't talk about themselves (or their anatomy) as portrayed. Daddy Wants Me reads like any fan made lirotica.com post, and how a guy might like to think a girl would sound in her own head. Maybe I'm wrong, it dosen't really matter. I genuinely laughed at the end and maybe you will too, mother never stood a chance.

I'm going to keep buying and listening, that's just what you do when you're 3 books in. Still, my silent protest is just not telling anyone or recommending it. Book 3 has a mind numbing meandering plot similar to the last two, but with less overall pull to keep moving through it. Main characters are attacked and I feel like I have to backtrack or question who and why anyone wants to fight our protagonist so badly. There is nothing to rally against, I don't loath antagonists because they are such surface level annoyances, no character, minimal fun. The idea that the main character won't just move Legion fully off world but continues to waist time on earth/ in politics is maddening. Dragons were a nice edition, I do enjoy most of the newer characters. Overall this is a flop I'll continue to see through to it's end. So enjoy my audible credits worth of payment, more than anything just keep the voice actor around, he puts in a solid performance with what little he has to work with.

Such a let down, I'm just not having fun anymore.

A lot of people hate on the cliffhanger ending, I'm not disatisfied with that. The true let down for me is the nonsense filler "informational world building" dialoge used to pad the overall runtime of the book. It doesn't enrich the world, just comes off as lazy to me. This series was my first real dive into fantasy literature, maybe I've just grown out of it. Like the majority of characters in the book, I'm just not having fun anymore.

The Black friend was unneeded satire/ comic relief

Overall ok. I thought it was going to be a self help book I had been reccomend by a similar title. Regardless, I like a good suspense/ mystery so i stuck with it. I couldn't decide if this book was a motivational read for those reaching the middle of their lives, or a young adult suspense novel that pushed semi-political issues. I'd reccomend to a friends who like the genre, or maybe not. The Author got my money, and I got a few laughs. hopefully that's enough for this life.
