Historia
If You're In My Office, It's Already Too Late. James Sexton knows this. After dealing with over 1000 clients whose marriages have dissolved over everything from an ill-advised threesome with the nanny to the uneven division of carpool duties, he also knows all of the what- not-to-dos for couples who want to build - and consistently work to preserve - a lasting, fulfilling relationship. Described by former clients as a "courtroom gunslinger" and "the sociopath you want on your side", Sexton tells the unvarnished truth about relationships. These usually derive from dishonest communication.

Fantastic

Great insight given with humor and intelligence. The stories were great and the author is a fantastic narrator. Even happily married folks will gain something.

Historia
Drake Radcliffe has spent half his life in the shadows. Recruited by the CIA when he was barely out of high school, Drake doesn’t know how to have a normal life. While most people his age were playing sports or video games, he was playing spy games with the world’s most dangerous adversaries. It has been a life filled with thrills and adrenaline, but it’s also been lonely. All that might change when a mistake from Drake’s past rears its ugly head and he’s forced to face the only woman he ever loved—the one he’d vowed to stay away from.

Another winner

This is another great segment of the Taggart M&M saga. Getting a glimpse of Drake over the years sets this story up well. Drake and Taylor must find trust in a world of lies and deceptions. And love. And laughter. In typical Lexi Blake fashion, at times you’re laughing and at others your worrying and holding your breath. Or enjoying some sexy times. It’s all wonderful. Getting the next peak into the future - near term with Kyle and further with the twins- just has me wanting more.

Historia
An aversion to urban density and all that it contributes to urban life, and a perception that the city was the place where "big government" first took root in America fostered what historian Steven Conn terms the "anti-urban impulse." In this provocative and sweeping audiobook, Conn explores the anti-urban impulse across the 20th century, examining how the ideas born of it have shaped both the places in which Americans live and work, and the anti-government politics so strong today.

Excellent book
Revisado: 09-19-20
Really enjoyed this book to the point of thinking of assigning it to my students in planning. Lots of good insight in an engaged format.
Narrator was generally good with two cringeworthy mispronunciations: Pruitt-Igoe (I not E sound) and W.E.B. DuBois (NOT a French “doobwah” pronunciation). Those were absolutely jarring and took me out of the story. It’s sad it wasn’t caught and fixed since the likely audience for the book will be familiar with both.

Historia
Nora Sutherlin is in handcuffs, held captive by two men. Under different circumstances, she would enjoy the situation immensely, but her captors aren't interested in play. As the reality of her impending peril unfolds, Nora becomes Scheherazade, buying each hour of her life with stories - sensual tales. This, Nora realizes, is her life: nothing so simple, so vanilla, as a mere love triangle for her. It's a knot in a silken cord, a tangled mass of longings of the body and the heart and the mind. And it may unravel at any moment.

Narration an unwelcome distraction
Revisado: 05-01-20
I am a fan of the series and I wish a good narrator could have done the entirety. Of the narrators for the books, this was my least favorite by far. The voices all had a French accent - more specifically it seemed a little boy/girl French accent. Other accents in the story (Dutch, Welsh, southern) were all muddled and given a youthful French turn. It became a big distraction and I barely made it through the first chapter.
