Great insight given with humor and intelligence. The stories were great and the author is a fantastic narrator. Even happily married folks will gain something.

This is another great segment of the Taggart M&M saga. Getting a glimpse of Drake over the years sets this story up well. Drake and Taylor must find trust in a world of lies and deceptions. And love. And laughter. In typical Lexi Blake fashion, at times you’re laughing and at others your worrying and holding your breath. Or enjoying some sexy times. It’s all wonderful. Getting the next peak into the future - near term with Kyle and further with the twins- just has me wanting more.

Really enjoyed this book to the point of thinking of assigning it to my students in planning. Lots of good insight in an engaged format.

Narrator was generally good with two cringeworthy mispronunciations: Pruitt-Igoe (I not E sound) and W.E.B. DuBois (NOT a French “doobwah” pronunciation). Those were absolutely jarring and took me out of the story. It’s sad it wasn’t caught and fixed since the likely audience for the book will be familiar with both.

Narration an unwelcome distraction

I am a fan of the series and I wish a good narrator could have done the entirety. Of the narrators for the books, this was my least favorite by far. The voices all had a French accent - more specifically it seemed a little boy/girl French accent. Other accents in the story (Dutch, Welsh, southern) were all muddled and given a youthful French turn. It became a big distraction and I barely made it through the first chapter.
