Big let down

I have enjoyed these books, but the short stories just don't have enough detail or character development. Just as I am getting into a story, it ends. I will not purchase any more of the "files" books. Looks like Larry Correia has ran out of ideas. Too bad.

Not my usual, but I became so caught up in the story and then the stories within the stories I just had to continue listening. The book was compelling as well as intriguing and the narration by Caroline Lee was wonderful to listen to

So very entertaining

Lucy Price-Lewis brings the characters to life to such a degree I feel as though I were actually there. These are the first two books of Jodi Taylor's that I have read and both were wonderful. Full of believable characters with probable issues. Of course Thomas was my favorite but can't give too much away. If you like gritty hard hitting graphic books don't bother, but if you are looking to escape for a while to an English farm in modern day filled with a gusto for living and laughing, do read both of these books.

One of the best series I have read

The preview of the book does not give it justice, nor does the first chapter. Once I got into the book, I couldn't stop. Bronson Pinchot is fantastic. Of all the narrators I have listened to he has to be the best. These books take place in the 30's and I wouldn't normally be interested, however, I was captivated by the story the different outcomes from a historical points, and the characters. As soon as I finished one, I bought the next one. I am listening to the third and last one, and really do not want it to end. I have read Larry Correia's Hunter books and enjoyed them, but these are totally unique.

A fun but predictable listen.

The story was entertaining and the narrator was very good. However, way too much time was taken up with the main characters (one of them a ghost) having long drawn out conversations when other characters were also involved in the scene.

I enjoyed the book. Not one of the best of hers. The narrator was female and her attempt to change her voice to a male's was laughable. It would have been more enjoyable if she had not tried.

I have enjoyed some of the more popular vampire, werewolf, monster books, but this one caught my interest with the first sentence. The books are a fun listen, they keep me entertained and people look at me funny when I laugh out loud (for no reason they can determine). The characters are well written and the narration is excellent. No simple monotone going on and on. I bought this one, then had to have the second and now I am on the third. I am really going to miss these guys when I am through. Hope another one comes out soon.
