Good story if a bit predicable
Revisado: 09-07-23
Liked the story although it was easy to predict the ending. However, the narrator was overly dramatic which detracted from the overall experience.

Great story line, terrible performance.
Revisado: 07-14-18
What could have been a great book was ruined by 2 things: terrible readers and too many long aggrandizing America Soliloquies. By the end of the book it bordered on propaganda type of writing.
The story holds interest, however the jumping back and forth as well as the president's need to constantly proclaim patriot statements just gets to be too much after awhile. The president is portrayed well as a real person with personal thoughts and feelings.
The readers came across as just that - readers - not performers who made the material real and believable. At many points one can imagine them sitting by a sick friend's bedside reading a book for the first time.
