Historia
High school wasn’t a grand time for everyone, but when a group of friends decide to meet up at a B and B ahead of their 10-year reunion, old grudges resurface, and one of them ends up dead. Now the owners, a kindly older couple, are on the hook for the accidental death due to anaphylaxis, but they insist no mistakes were made on their part. Fortune is asked to look into the situation before the inept local sheriff railroads the couple or simply allows gossip to run them out of business, which will cost them their home. Swamp Team 3 heads to Voodoo Island to find a way to clear the couple.

Excellent plot
Revisado: 11-10-24
As a super fan of this series, I have to say this was one of her best works. The plot was great, you are left guessing who did it right up to the reveal. And there was just the right amount of antics to keep you laughing too. Great job!

Abby needs a backbone!
Revisado: 10-26-23
I could not connect with the main character at all and found her very annoying. She whined all the time and was very self-centered. The story line was okay, but dragged on a lot and not interesting at times. I finished the book, but really didn’t enjoy it!

Historia
Carpenter Whitney Whitaker, her cousin Buck, and guard-cat Sawdust just scored a hot property near downtown Nashville in a tax sale. While the Music City Motor Court might not be much to look at now, the two plan to transform the motel's 12 units into six one-bedroom condominiums with popular mid-century styling. But surprises await when Whitney discovers a squatter living in Room Nine and Sawdust uncovers a body in the bed next door.

Difficult to finish, skipped to the last 2 chapters.
Revisado: 12-14-22
There was to much information about construction and flipping and Nashville. Storyline needed more substance. Cat is cute, but giving him chapters was a little much. The narrator is easy to listen too, which was a plus.

Historia
Hadley Hunter thinks she’s ready for what’s to come, but she’s not. Before the storms can wreak havoc on her life, though, she has something even more frightening to deal with lunch...with her boyfriend Galen Blackwood’s mother. Despite her best intentions, things don’t go as smoothly as Hadley envisioned. Before she has a chance to deal with that, though, the storms bring another surprise in the form of an unconscious woman on the beach and a yacht that keeps appearing (and then disappearing) with each subsequent storm.

A Struggle To Finish!
Revisado: 01-06-22
I’m not sure what has changed with this series, but this book was nothing like the first ones. Hadley has become the most whiny, stupid character ever. Her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard, and I’m so tired of all the “sweet talk”. Where has her boyfriend’s backbone gone? I’m afraid to try listening to the next one in the series. I want the original Hadley personally back!!!

Historia
They're out there, under the salt - the bodies of German seamen who used to lie in wait at the mouth of the Mississippi for unescorted American tankers sailing from the oil refineries of Baton Rouge out into the Gulf of Mexico. As a child, Dave Robicheaux had been haunted by the sailors' images. Years later, Robicheaux, a detective with the New Iberia sheriff's office, finds himself and his family at serious risk, stalked for his knowledge of a watery burial ground by a mysterious man named Will Buchalter - a man who believes that the Holocaust was one big hoax.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 08-10-17
I am a diehard Burke fan, but this book was not one of his best. There were too many times he seemed to be filling the page with any descriptive term he could imagine. Less would have been more. It was difficult to keep characters straight, too many story lines.
