Historia
In the early morning hours of May 2, 1990, my stepfather, Rich Duncan, checked out of the Motel 6 in Moses Lake, Washington, and traveled over the North Cascades Highway en route to his home in Duvall, Washington. He was supposed to be home by four o'clock that afternoon. Two days later, police discovered his abandoned car in the small town of Darrington, Washington. As my mother desperately struggled to get law enforcement to help find her husband, his killer set out to cover up his crime and evade detection.

Best true crime book I've ever heard!
Revisado: 02-15-15
I've read lots of true crime books and this one is one of the best I've read! This book made me so sad for the victims and so mad at the justice system! The narrator was awesome! I wish he narrated all the books!

Every mother's worst fear became Sharon Rocha's reality. On Christmas Eve 2002, she received a phone call from her son-in-law saying that her daughter, Laci, was missing. In the hours, days, and eventually months that followed, Sharon struggled to avoid accepting what no parent should ever have to face: the certain knowledge that her child is never coming home.

My heart goes out to Sharon and her family! A beautiful woman and her sons life destroyed by a man who was supposed to protect them. I teared up many times in this book.
Scott Peterson's parents are something else! Appalled at there behavior to say the least! I'm sorry Sharon and her family had to endure their behavior after losing there precious loved ones in there lives. Makes me sick!!

Great narrater!
Revisado: 05-02-14
Very good listen! I thought the narrater was excellent! The husband killer Wendy Davidson should rot in jail but sadly will be out soon. Huge injustice for husbands family!! They should have been awarded custody of there murdered sons baby! Justice system, cps failed them miserably big time! Sad!!!
Wendy Davidson and her whole family are a bunch of losers who will never take responsibility for anything in there lives! It's apparent in this book! I don't understand people like this? Bad genes I guess!
My condolences to Micheal Severances family.

Revisado: 01-16-14
I thought this was a very interesting story! True crime at its best! I really like this author, he is in my opinion, one of the best true crime writers and I've listened to several. This book made me sad for the victims of this psychopath and mad that our justice system is so messed up! In the end justice finally prevailed but too bad another life had to be taken first! The narrater was awesome! Best narrater I have ever heard! Can't wait to listen to him again! Thanks J. Charles!!

Historia
They were best friends, four talented and charismatic young men who lived charmed lives among the evergreens of Washington state: Kevin, the artist; Steve, the sculptor; Scott, the nature lover and unabashed ladies' man; and Mark, the musician and poet. With their stunning good looks, whip-sharp minds, athletic bodies - and no lack of women who adored them - none of them seemed slated for disaster. But few knew the reality behind the leafy screen that surrounded Seven Cedars, Scott's woodland dream home....

Revisado: 12-16-13
The first 18 chapters were all about the charecters growing up. I kept wondering she was ever going to talk about the actual crime! I was getting bored and frustrated. After that it got better, but still not her best in my opion.

Simple boring story
Revisado: 09-23-13
I bought this book because of the reviews.. Unfortunetly I disagree with such great reviews. At first I thought this was going to be an inspirational story, but right when I thought it was going to start getting good it ended just like that! Like the author ran out of time and cut it short! Very disappointed!

Historia
The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.

Not that beautiful of a story
Revisado: 01-07-13
after reading all the reviews I bought this book and it wasnt what everyone claimed it to be. It was interesting at times but definitely not a great love story and way to much detail in certain chapters that was just blah blah blah about certain people that was just boring and I had to ff to get thru it. Overall the story wasn't very good. Very slow
best part was the reader he was really good!
Bottom line don't waste your time.

Historia
Thousands of people have had near-death experiences, but scientists have argued that they are impossible. Dr. Eben Alexander was one of those scientists. Neurosurgeon Alexander knew that NDEs feel real, but are simply fantasies produced by brains under extreme stress. Then, Dr. Alexander’s own brain was attacked by a rare illness. The part of the brain that controls thought and emotion shut down completely. For seven days he lay in a coma. Then Alexander’s eyes popped open. He had come back. Alexander’s recovery is a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere.

Revisado: 09-25-12
So far this book is ridiculous! The first 30 some chapters are dedicated to everything about nasa and the history of the space shuttle! blah blah blah!! I had to fast forward through most of it. I finally just got to the part where the real story begins and now Im just to bored to finish listening to it! This book could have probably been summed up in 5 chapters at best. Booooorrrrrringgg!!!

This book was very graphic! It was interesting but I don't think anyone should hear the horrible stories the serial killers in this book told! Wish I could un hear it!
Be careful on this one. I have read a lot of true crime stories but this one takes the cake! OMG!!
