I agree with the other reviews, the writer drones on and on about things that don't matter and uses odd descriptors. I didn't really mind the way the narrator mispronounced some words because I was too annoyed with the unnecessary inner monolog. The storyline is good but he needs a new editor.

Overall it's a good story. It was a slow start and I almost DNF but it picks up a little. I think it would have been better if it was written by the individuals pov and not third person. The narrators was fine but maybe not a good fit for the book, his calm voice made the story even more boring.

this is the weirdest story I've ever listened to. the whole time I was waiting for something to actually happen and she just kept saying weirder and weirder stuff. At this point im not even sure what it was about. I've listened to some meh books but this one took the cake.

I tried so hard, but I couldn't finish listening to this. the FMC narrator is not a good fit for this kind of book. It felt like she was reading a history book. The pace of the book feels a little rushed but dragged on at the same time. The saving grace was Teddy Hamilton as the aliens voice.

nooo Elise!

I really did give the new Elise a chance, but you can hear every breath the narrator takes. Troy was amazing like always but Angelina is too soft spoken for Elise. I couldn't get into it like I did the other books. Story wise, amazing as always I love all the characters so I'll eat up anything they do

one of my favorite books I've listened too so far. finally some diversity in the fantasy world. even if it wasn't free I would buy it. the characters are well written and it's interesting from this book to the last

The other books were so good idk what happened. this one was rushed and the relationship between jasper and saffron was SO anticlimactic. it felt like she just wanted to stop writing

I've only made it half way through (hour 6) and still nothing has happened. the MC gives me wine mom vibes. it's the most Caucasian series I've ever listened too.
