Historia
When a prominent University of Wyoming professor goes missing, authorities are stumped. That is, until Joe Pickett makes two surprising discoveries while hunting down a wounded elk on his district as an epic spring storm descends upon him. First, he finds the professor's vehicle parked on a remote mountainside. Then Joe finds the professor's frozen and mutilated body. When he attempts to learn more, his investigation is obstructed by federal agents, extreme environmentalists, and Governor Colter Allen.

First and Last.
Revisado: 03-05-23
This is my first and last C.J. Box purchase. First off, the she said, he said, she said, he said being repeated throughout the book is ridiculous. Next, FBI agents don't big foot murder cases without showing ID. And last, Wyoming game wardens are not solving multiple murders unless it involves antelope.

Hypocrisy at its peak
Revisado: 02-26-23
Love listening to a story about a person who openly admits to skirting the law while proclaiming his innocence only to make hardline assertions of Trumps guilt. I am done paying to listen Micheal Connelly's fake news politics. I'm just sad this happened so in the series, I wasted a lot of hard oil field earned money to support someone with a clear agenda... an agenda I didn't ask for, I was hear for crime thriller, NOT POLITICS.

Historia
There’s chaos in Hollywood at the end of the New Year’s Eve countdown. Working her graveyard shift, LAPD detective Renée Ballard waits out the traditional rain of lead as hundreds of revelers shoot their guns into the air. Only minutes after midnight, Ballard is called to a scene where a hardworking auto shop owner has been fatally hit by a bullet in the middle of a crowded street party.

I'm out!
Revisado: 02-05-23
The first Michael Connley book I couldn't finish. Between the absolute crap attitude that Ballard has grown into as she becomes the female version of the men that she hates and the never-ending assertion of author's politics and opinions of the vaccine.... I have already lived this fight, and there is no reason for me to waste my free time on a book I paid for just to be reminded of the division this country has endured because of these political issues and crap policiesthat have left us all suffering. I'm out.

Horrible, would have returned
Revisado: 10-11-22
This is not like the sample. It is a long winded, drawn out bag of monotone wind full of stupid antidotes and useless information. If you are looking for advice about HOW TO and not just pointless examples then keep looking.
I would have returned but this is the third food truck book I bought today and apparently Audible will only let you be disappointed twice, not three times.
