More enjoyable than expected
Revisado: 04-26-18
I was expecting this book to be either a lot dryer in style or a lot more angry/emotional. I was surprised about how engaging Comey’s writing style was, and enjoyed the stories of his experiences with various leaders.
It was helpful to understand the handling of the Clinton emails, as well as the circumstances around president trump of course.
The majority of the book is about leadership qualities that shaped Comey’s life and persona, and so if you are looking for something that is partisan about either the right or the left this is not a book for you. He states multiple times that his role, and the roles of what he considers good leaders, is to be non-partisan but seek the truth and try to do what is most ethical. I disagree with parts of what he says but at least now I understand his reasoning. Funny enough, I listened to this back to back with What Happened by Hillary Clinton and Fascism, A Warning by Madeleine Albright, and these books were all very different but interesting and helped to fill in a lot of perspectives on recent happenings. I recommend.

In her thought-provoking voice, Tirado discusses how she went from lower-middle class, to sometimes middle class, to poor and everything in between, and in doing so reveals why "poor people don't always behave the way middle-class America thinks they should."

Accurate!

While i have some reservations about the language, the reality of experience is spot on. Unless you have lived paycheck to paycheck you simply do not understand what most people go through every day. This book helps those that don't get it, get it, maybe.
I found myself nodding several times because I've been there. I've had to decide what bill do i pay and risk the other going to collections. That is one example that some people refuse to understand. Another example, just because i didn't clean today doesn't mean I'm dirty... It means I'm tired from working, so chill out.
Thanks!

Historia
At some point in nearly every marriage, a wife finds herself asking, "What is wrong with my husband?!" In David Finch's case, this turns out to be an apt question. Five years after he married Kristen, the love of his life, they learn that he has Asperger syndrome. The diagnosis explains David's ever-growing list of quirks and compulsions, his lifelong propensity to quack and otherwise melt down in social exchanges, and his clinical-strength inflexibility. But it doesn't make him any easier to live with.

Entitled asshole seeks redemption
Revisado: 05-28-15
This book. This guy... Holy cow. His wife is a saint. His new obsession became his wife and family and he tried to become what they needed him to be through obsession. It worked. But don't expect to sympathize much with his character.
