Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

AWESOME !!!
Revisado: 07-08-22
I'm not usually drawn to books with "thriller " as part of it's review. BUT after watching the 8 part series on Prime ...I HAD to get the real deal. I am NOT SORRY because the book is much more in-depth with Characters and in depth story telling. Actually the Show was tame compared to the book !! It will have you REALLY not believing the News we are fed from Washington DC, Power Couples, and where our Tax money is really spent for political gain and not for the Services we think we are insuring. Mr Carr will rock your world !!

enchanted. Any Story she writes is steeped in Historical truth ,and finishing with Characters one cares a great deal about. Lord John being no exception. From his entry into the "Outlaws"camp to save the English Damsel in distress (Clair) to a peek of his life off the main Stage, he is a worthy Character to indulge upon. No spoilers here ,just good reads !

Memory
Revisado: 10-03-19
the memory is a fascinating thing. sometimes we remember in my new detail and other times it's kind of sketchy but we managed to fill it in. this author takes us to the reminiscing 11 and older lady in a nursing home who's estranged from most of her family but wants especially her daughter but her family too to understand who and what she was on a very personal level. I adored this book and now I have a new a very favorite author.her characters are literally people you know, or certainly at least come to know, are just as fallible and just as perfect as yourself. it's a beautiful story and the picture that this artist paints uses words. she talked so lovingly about this island but surely she has been there herself seen it and experienced it. so will you by reading it. I loved loved loved this book!

Historia
A black swan is a highly improbable event with three principal characteristics: It is unpredictable; it carries a massive impact; and, after the fact, we concoct an explanation that makes it appear less random, and more predictable, than it was. The astonishing success of Google was a black swan; so was 9/11. For Nassim Nicholas Taleb, black swans underlie almost everything about our world, from the rise of religions to events in our own personal lives. Elegant, startling, and universal in its applications, The Black Swan will change the way you look at the world.

not very interesting to me
Revisado: 09-20-19
I thought this was the precursor for the other Black swan the one the movie was made from. this is more like a college history book about what Black swan means I did not find it interesting in the slightest and I'm sorry I wasted my credit on it

Don't be put off at a big 3 book sereis
Revisado: 03-22-18
Where does The Rogue Queen rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I really haven't read many Audi Books as I am new to this kind of reading....but....of the 4 I have read this series would be #2 in rank. There were times when the story was too detailed, too long, but what can one expect in a 3 book Novel ?
Who was your favorite character and why?
Well, the Rogue Queen of course !
What does Lauren Ezzo and Scott Merriman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
They brought a believably to this reading because the female voices were actually a female and the same with men's parts. It makes me crazy when a male is narrating, and the pitch of the voice change is barely noticeable. It gets very confusing at times.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh heavens no, not all at once ! We are talking about 21 hours here. I do suggest it a wonderful length to do Art by though. I love to sketch and this lengthy story is perfect for that. If you have a quiet Hobby of any kind, this is a wonderful adventure to have in the background.
Any additional comments?
This whole book series is not a historical drama, it is totally a Fantasy world that you are invited to join.

Historia
Inheriting her grandparents' island estate on Florida's Gulf coast is a special kind of homecoming for thirty-one-year-old Charity Baxter. Raised by a narcissistic single mother, Charity's only sense of a loving home comes from childhood summers spent with Gramps and Grandma. But piercing her fondest memories is her sharpest grief - the death of her beloved grandmother, when Charity stopped believing in the magical healing power of the weeping willow that still casts a shadow on their property.

Children 's perceptions of neglect, and then comes
Revisado: 03-22-18
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
A story as complex as growing up could possibly be. Life through the eyes of privileged children who suddenly become faced with real life, and "a secret".
What did you like best about this story?
The lesson learned, believe 1/2 of what you hear, and question the other 1/2. Figuering it all out .
Which scene was your favorite?
Watching the Female protagonist grow and discover herself and her surroundings
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Early in the book, the dreadful diseases that took away a whole Family , whan the Soldiers discovered a lone child left alone.
Any additional comments?
I really only got the book because the Audible Book part came free. WOW was I surprised ! It was such a good "read", interesting situation , well developed Characters, and good narration.
